Abstract
In the orchestrated strategy of hybrid warfare conducted by the Modi-led BJP government in Kashmir, radical laws
and policies serve as tools to advance colonial agendas, persistently aiming to fulfill the longstanding commitment
of unifying India into a Hindu nationalist state.

The Indian state portrays itself as self-proclaimed guardians of the national territory, concurrently characterizing
Kashmiris as intruders on their ancestral land. The nullification of Kashmir›s partial autonomy in August 2019, through
the annulment of Article 370 and Article 35-A, unfurled a series of draconian measures, exemplifying a calculated
fusion of militarization, legal maneuvering, and blatant human rights violations that transcend conventional norms
of conflict. The BJP›s pursuit of forms of coloniality in Kashmir, cloaked in the guise of unifying Akhand Bharat, has
plunged the region into a perpetual state of emergency. Kashmiris find themselves in collective internment, stripped
of fundamental rights, suffocating under unrelenting lockdowns, and besieged by militaristic and legal hostility.
