Eye Contact
For all kit components, flush eyes with large amounts of water for 15 minutes. Seek medical
attention.
Skin contact
Flush with large amounts of water. Use soap and water to wash away organic components.
Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse.
Inhalation
In case of inhalation, remove to fresh air. Seek medical attention.
Toxicological Information
Harmful if inhaled or swallowed. Diglyme may cause drowsiness, headache, cyanosis, central nervous
system depression, nausea and vomiting if inhaled or swallowed. Exposure may cause skin irritation
and may be harmful if absorbed through the skin. Ingestion will cause gastrointestinal disturbances.
Diglyme is a member of the group of compounds known as “glycol diethers” which, in studies on
laboratory animals have been shown to cause reversible testicular and sperm damage. May be a rick
for women of child bearing potential. Methanol and diglyme components are identified on lists in
CERCLA, SARA Sec. 313 and TSCA.
Disposal Used reagents contain oil and solvent. Dispose of as an organic waste in
accordance with all applicable federal, state and local environmental regulations.

Respiratory protection None required where adequate ventilation conditions exists. If
airborne concentration is high, use a chemical cartridge respirator.
Protective gloves Always wear rubber gloves when performing the PetroFLAG test.
Other protective equipment Wear appropriate safety equipment when performing test on site.
