This document provides instructions for making a 3D water cycle craft with students. Students will color in stages of the water cycle (condensation, precipitation, runoff, evaporation) and cut them out to glue onto cloud shapes. The clouds will then be folded in half and secured to form a 3D display of the water cycle. The craft is meant to hang for display.

Water Cycle 3D Craft
Use the following pages to make a water cycle
craft with your students. Print the clouds on
any color of cardstock paper. Each student will
need one set of clouds 1-4. Cut these out if
your students are unable to cut them on their
own.

Your students will then color in each stage of


the water cycle. Then they will cut out the
ovals and place them in order from
condensation, precipitation, run off, to
evaporation. They can begin with any stage in
the cycle.

They will glue them to the cloud patterns. Then


fold each cloud in half and glue the backs
together to form a 3D water cycle cloud. Have
clothespin handy to hold the cards together or

you can also tape the pieces together. The
edges are not meant to line up.

This cloud is meant to hang, so add a string to


the top to display your So Sweet Craft.
