Position: Temporary Research Assistants (10 Positions) for the Ready for School Project Baseline Study Locatio Chitipa (Mwendanjira AP, TA Mwenewenya) & Nkhata Bay (Sanga AP, TA Mankhambira) Reporting to: Research Supervisors Role: The Research Assistants are expected to gather, collect and enter quantitative and qualitative data in the area programmes in TA Mwenewenya and TA Mankhambira in Chitipa and Nkhata Bay districts respectively. Role Dimension: The successful candidate will be expected to Plan, interact, inte w, coordinate and work closely with caregivers, mentors, parents, communities, committees, local leaders, and stakeholders. Major Responsibilities: Administering questionnaires, conducting Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), key informant interviews (Klls] and transcribe them Conduct Child Development assessments based on Malawian Developmental Milestones Administer a Care Giver classroom teaching quality observation too! Capturing data on the involvement of the community and parents in ECD with Android phones using Kobo Collect Capturing data on the availability and Condition of ECD Infrastructure Managing data during and after data collection ‘Synchronizing the data after the supervisors have validated it Comply with data quality dimensions Qualifications, Experiences and Personal Attributes Qualifications and experience A bachelor’s degree in either, Early Childhood Development, Education, Social Science, Health & Nutrition, Gender & Development, Community Development, Communication, Monitoring and Evaluation and any other related fields from a recognized college or university.
