Add On Course 3 Maths

This document outlines an add-on course in research methodology for an admitted batch of students in the Department of Mathematics from 2020-2023. The 30-hour course aims to provide students with tools for future research and help develop quantitative thinking. It will cover key models, identification, estimation methods, and hands-on experience analyzing real datasets. The course content is divided into 4 units that will introduce research concepts, data collection and processing methods, data analysis and interpretation, and advanced report writing techniques. Upon completing the course, students will be able to explain research concepts, demonstrate understanding of the research process, identify elements of research proposals/reports, and choose appropriate research methods.
