LETTER OF APPLICATION (SAMPLE)

Tea Estate Secondary School,

Kawambwa.

20th July, 2012.

The Branch Manager,
Zambeef Plc,
P.O. Box 640022,
Mansa.

Dear Sir or Madam,

REF: APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AS A SALES ASSISTANT
With reference to the advertisement that appeared on television on Wednesday, the
15th of July, 2012, I wish to apply for employment as a sales assistant in your most cherished
company.
I am twenty-five year old man with Zambian nationality. I did my secondary school at
Tea Estate Secondary School from 2009 to 2011. The subjects I sat for were English,
Science, Biology, Mathematics, geography, religious Education and Principles of Accounts
and in all these I managed to graduate with a division one as you will see on the attached
statement of results.
Honestly speaking, I do not have much experience as stated in the advertisement,
however, I have basic experience in handling cash because while at school I helped selling in
the School Tuck shop. Additionally, after completion of my school, I started a small
enterprise which blossomed within the little time I managed it. I confidently promise that
once given an opportunity, I can still do the job to the best of my abilities.
For more information about my character, you may kindly contact my class teacher,
Mr. Chavwanga Vitallis at my former school; Tea Estate Secondary School on Cell Phone
number 0978654560. I will be ready for the interview whenever you may call up on me.

Yours faithfully,
s.ndaliiba
