Am I a Responsible Person?
Human beings are by nature socially inter-dependent. No human being can survive and live alone. Everyone
belongs to a community and institutions like the family, school, church, and other organizations.
Within these social set up, each person performs several roles. Each role has its own corresponding duties and
responsibilities. Everybody has the obligation to help in creating and bringing about a truly human world.
As an individual. I have different responsibilities to perform. I have the responsibility to take good care of myself,
to develop all the talents God gave me, to improve my life and become more productive. I have my responsibilities as a
child to my parents, brother/sister, as a student, to my friend, neighbors, and as a citizen.
As a member of a community, I have the responsibility to help in bridging the gap between the rich and the poor. It
is my duty to inculcate in the minds of the poor the dignity and value of their work as well as their own self-worth. In the
same way, it is my moral obligation to make the rich people be aware that “no one is justified to keep what is superfluous”
when so many are suffering for lack of the basic necessities in life.
As a citizen of the nation, I have the responsibility to obey the laws of the nation, to respect and support government
officials and leaders but at the same time to voice out my opinions freely, to react to the issues that endanger national
security.
As a child of God, it is my responsibility to love and serve God with all my heart , mind, soul, and strength. It is my
obligation to be faithful to His teachings and commandments . In line with these responsibilities, it is my duty to love and
respect all people the way God loves them.

Always remember:
It is only when we believe in ourselves that we can bring out fully our talents. We can discover our potentials and we
can use all the gifts given to us by God to become a very productive and successful individual.
