█ Other Notes
Input Power
This series of inverters shall not be used to operate beyond the voltage range
specified in this manual. If necessary, please use a voltage boost or voltage drop device to
raise or lower the voltage below or above the requirements of this manual to the specified
voltage range.
Surge Protection
This series of inverters are equipped with surge suppressors internally, which have
certain protection ability against induced lightning. However, for frequent lightning areas,
users need to put external surge suppressors in front of the power input end of the
inverters.
Usage of Contactor
In the configuration of peripheral devices recommended in this manual, a contactor
should be installed between the power supply and the inverter. It is forbidden to use this
contactor as the start-stop control device of the inverter, because frequent charging and
discharging may affect the service life of its internal electrolytic capacitor.
When a contactor needs to be installed between the output end of the inverter and the
motor, it is necessary to ensure that the inverter is in a no-output state before the
contactor is put in/cut out, otherwise it may cause damage to the inverter.
Output Filter
When the output of inverter is PWM high-frequency chopper voltage, add filter
devices between motor and inverter, such as output filter or output AC reactor, which can
effectively reduce noise output and avoid interfering with the normal operation of other
equipment in the system.
When the cable length between the inverter and the motor exceeds 100 meters, it is
recommended to choose the output AC reactor to avoid the inverter fault caused by the
over current generated by excessive distributed capacitance.Output filters are selected
according to field requirements.
Do not install phase shifting capacitor or surge absorber on the output side of inverter,
otherwise the inverter may burn down due to overheating.
-6-
SET360 User Manual
Motor Insulation
The output of the inverter is PWM high-frequency chopper voltage, which contains a
large proportion of high-order harmonics. The noise, temperature rise and vibration of the
motor will be increased relative to the power-frequency voltage, especially the insulation
of the motor will be affected. Therefore, when the motor is used for the first time or stored
for a long time, insulation inspection is required. Normal use of the motor also need to do
regular insulation inspection, in order to avoid inverter damage caused by the motor
insulation. It is recommended to use 500V voltage tramegger, disconnect the motor and
inverter when do the inspection. Insulation resistance value should be higher than 5M Ω.
Derating
The air at high altitudes area is thin, so the cooling effect of forced air cooling
inverters will be reduced. Electrolytes of electrolytic capacitors are also easy to volatilize,
affecting its life span. Accordingly, in the area of altitude above 1000 meters, the inverters
should be derated to use. It is recommended that the rated output current should be
reduced by 1% for every 100 meters of altitude.

Data in the table below as a guide, the user can choose according to the actual situation of
different resistance tolerance and power (but resistance must not be less than the
recommended value in the table, the power can be big), brake resistance selection need
according to the practical application of the power to determine the motor power, and the
system of inertia, deceleration time, the energy of the potential energy load. The customers
need to choose according to actual situation. The larger the system of inertia, the shorter the
deceleration time and the more frequent braking, so the greater the brake resistance power is
and the smaller the resistance value will be.

When the frequency is selected as the keyboard setting, the frequency runs at the F003 set
value.During operation,▲,▼ can be used to change the current running frequency. The setting
of the digital frequency is limited by the maximum frequency.
Related parameters:F002, F080. This parameter can be adjusted during operation.
This setting must be set according to the rated operating voltage frequency of on the motor
nameplate. In general, please do not change the rated frequency set value of the motor at will. If
a special motor is used, please set it appropriately according to the motor parameter
characteristics, otherwise it will cause damage to the equipment.
- 46 -
SET360 User Manual
The lower limit frequency mainly prevents field personnel from misoperation, and avoids
overheating or other mechanical faults that may occur due to the low operating frequency of the
motor. The lower limit frequency must be set less than the maximum frequency setting.
If the parameter value is improperly set or abnormal for some reason, the parameter can
be set to 08. After the factory value is restored, the parameter can be reset again. After the
parameter is locked (F000=1), the parameter cannot be reset.Related parameters: F000.

SET360 series inverter defines four deceleration time, acceleration and deceleration 1 to 4.
The user can switch to different deceleration time through the multifunctional input terminal of
acceleration and deceleration time according to their needs. In the simple operation of PLC,
users can choose different acceleration and deceleration time through the related parameters .
Generally, the default acceleration and deceleration time of the inverter is 1, and the factory
value of acceleration and deceleration time 1 is set according to the model. The acceleration
and deceleration time 4 is the inching acceleration and deceleration time.

When this parameter setting starts, it enters into the DC braking state, and the duration of
DC braking current into the motor. If set it to zero, DC braking is invalid and non-zero braking is
valid. See figure 6-2 for details.
When DC brake starts, it usually used for fan and other stops when the load can
move.Because the load before the inverter outputs voltage, the motor is in free running state,
and the direction of operation is uncertain. Therefore, DC brake can be implemented before
starting, and then start the motor to prevent inverter failure.

This parameter sets the DC braking current to be fed into the motor when starting and
stopping. Different braking current can be obtained by adjusting this parameter. When adjusting
the parameter, it must be gradually increased from small to large until sufficient braking torque
is obtained; otherwise, there is loss to the motor.
1.00(100%)current refers to motor rated current.
When the inverter decelerates and stops, the frequency decreases to the starting
frequency of DC braking, and the inverter starts DC braking stops.
When F030=0, DC braking is invalid when stops. When F030 is set to be valid, the inverter
stops with DC braking after the value is reduced to F039.
Carrier frequency has a certain relationship with electromagnetic noise of motor, and the
carrier frequency has a certain relationship with the heat output of inverter and interference to
the environment.See the table below:

This parameter can realize the inching function in test machine. Inching operation can be
realized through the digital quantity input terminals, inching frequency is limited by the
maximum frequency and lower frequency. When realizing inching function, other operating
instructions not to accept, inching frequency acceleration time is determined by the acceleration
