INTRODUCTION

1.1. Background
Editorial in the mass media is a form of criticism in a
sensein broad terms it can be interpreted as a thought from the
media institution within responding to existing issues or
information (Rivers, 1994: 8). Editorial is thoughtan institution
tested before the court of public opinion; editorial also is
presentation of facts and opinions that interpret important news
and influence public opinion.
Editorial is not just criticism and social control that is
usually packaged in rubrics or news articles only, but can also
take other forms according to the intent and purpose of
expressing an opinion.
The rapid development of mass media today makes society
easy to get information. Mass media both print and Electronics is
a tool that will help in the mass communication process used.
The auditor's opinion is a source of information for outside
parties company as a guide for decision making. Just auditors
quality that can guarantee that the report (information) is correct
produced reliable (reliable). So far, research regarding Auditor
quality is widely associated with the size of the Public
Accounting Firm (KAP) and the reputation of the Public
Accounting Firm (KAP).
The opinion given by the auditor is so important for a
company company to users of financial statements, then an
auditor must have good skills and competence to collect and
analyze audit evidence so that they can provide an appropriate
opinion. Auditors are required to exercise professional skepticism
so that auditors can use their professional skills carefully and
carefully, because the professional skills of an auditor influence
accuracy of the opinion given. So the auditor's goal is to obtain
sufficient competent evidence and provide a basis for that
adequate in formulating opinions can be achieved well.
Mass media as a means of providing information has an
important role in conveying information to the public. Due to this
important role then Mass media is very closely related to public
relations (PR). Basically The relationship between PR and the
media is a symbiotic mutualism, where the media requires
information material from PR and vice versa, PR needs the
media as a means of disseminating information (Kriyantono,
2008:69)
Mass media has an important role in disseminating
opinions and the reality is that the media helps create public
opinion and shapes what it is that the public must think about
(Nimmo, 2010:27). The function of the media strengthened by
the existence of agenda setting theory, namely the ability of mass
media to directing public awareness and attention to the issues
considered important by the mass media (Tamburaka, 2012:22).
Maybe there are some of us who don't know what
suggestion is... Maybe there are some of us who have
unknowingly used suggestion in our daily activities, but don't
know the term suggestion... And, perhaps many people already
know, understand and can place/use these suggestions in/for
interests that are positive and do not harm other people.
Suggestion is a science of delivering materials and media
to convey a certain meaning with interesting words to the target
person. In other words. Suggestion is a science of convincing
other people using only a series of words/speech. Like a doctor,
he applies suggestions to provide suggestions and advice that are
absolute for the patient to follow/obey in order to recover from
his illness. Just like a teacher when teaching his students. A
teacher uses suggestions to convey scientific material to his
students. In this case, the student must pay attention to every
word the teacher says if he wants to be smart.

as behavior, attitudes, views and responses and so on.
R.P Abelson (Ruslan, 2007: 66) states that to understand someone’s

him.”10 According to Harwantiyoko, “Suggestion is a process of influencing
individuals towards individuals others, so that he can accept certain norms or
guidelines for behavior without prior consideration.”
According to Abu Ahmadi, the essence of suggestion is the urging of
something confidence in someone to accept someone’s opinion or advice in
a crude way, namely the party who influences, who urges something beliefs,
opinions or assumptions of other people and parties influenced, who are
pressured to speak and accept an opinion or desired response to him.

Bernard Hennesy 1990 (in Olii, 2011: 22) suggests five factors
the emergence of public opinion (public opinion):
1. There is an issue (presence of an issue). There must be a
consensus in fact, public opinion converges around a particular
issue. Issues can be is defined as a contemporary situation that
may not exist agreement. At least there is an element of
controversy contained in it and issues containing contemporary

namely:
1. The cognitive function
This means that public opinion provides understanding. With
that understanding someone can be objective in responding to
issues or problems spread in society. Function is important
because individuals as Humans are often overwhelmed and
dominated by a suspicious and direct nature giving a verdict
before truly understanding a problem.
2.The identification function
This means that public opinion functions to introduce opinions
which is an agreement between the group and its individual
members. This is done because individuals tend to do the same
as carried out by the group.
2. The resolution of the internal function
This means that opinions function to solve internal problems
group. That function is needed to help solve tension between
individuals joining a group, including by carrying out tasks
between fellow group members.
a. Suggestion function
Suggestions given directly aim to encourage the person
given the suggestion to act quickly and immediately.

that involves the formation of associations. This aims to avoid
direct contact.

(influenced). Fragmentation of one’s thoughts: someone who
lacks concentration will easily experience suggestions.
CHAPTER III
CLOSING

A. Suggestion

Psychology education is the basis for studying the human

soul. In the framework of the learning process in our
environment, we should cultivate the soul with positive
things, clean thoughts to harmonize a life that is full of rules
and full of various kinds of conflict so that the soul remains
calm.

B. Conclusion
Facts are things that really happened and can be proven to
be true. Opinion is an opinion resulting from a thought and is
not necessarily true, while suggestion as one of the activities
of the soul can be defined as an influence received by the
soul, so that its actions are no longer based on considerations
of creativity, taste and intention. In suggestion, the functions
of thought, feeling and will are completely put aside. That is
why suggestion is an urge to believe in someone that is
accepted without deep consideration Individuals who are very
easily influenced by suggestion are called suggestible.
Individuals who easily influence other people should be called
suggestive
