ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW
NEER Foundation was started in a small village of Dhaka district from the development
thinking of some of the rural activists in 2009 with an organizational approach of
innovation and learning that had been the essential components, Neer Foundation has
entered into its 14th years of development initiatives. During this good period of time,
many changes have been brought with its perceptions of new needs, priorities and new
expectations. Even innovation has been remained firmly committed to its mission. During
the period, the organization has acquired diverse experience from the real field of
implementation. However, NEER Foundation has endeavored to be sensitive and
responsive.
Since its inception in 2009, NEER Foundation has been a visionary and people-centric
organization that established NEER Foundation as a popular organization to the people it
works with keeping the same commitment and determination, it has applied to its mission,
it has been continuing its mission very successfully. The principles of objectivity, built on
accountability, efficiency and effectiveness, which NEER Foundation adopted since the
very beginning, have remained immutable in the face of all the challenges the
organization has encountered. These key tenets have been at the core of the initiatives that
NEER Foundation has undertaken over the years.
Presently NEER Foundation is playing an important role which acts as a catalyst for
development to achieve inclusion of the people who are excluded socially, politically,

been striving to build trust, strengthen communication and foster productive relationships
both within the organization as well as with its program participants. Through pursuing its
objective of reducing poverty, supporting human rights and very particularly improving
the status of woman and the people with disabilities. Thus the organization is making
efforts to bring about changes in the lives of the people.

2. Micro Finance Program
NEER Foundation started program since 2009 at the aim to uplift economic growth of the
beneficiaries. The program has 2 components such as, savings mobilization, deposit
scheme. Targeted people are organized in group which consists of 15-20 members. Rise
group awareness on economic and social issues than provided loan to needy members
through ensuring scheme/ project feasibility study.

Objectives of program :
 To increase income of the target beneficiaries
 To create employment opportunities for targeted beneficiaries
 To increase purchasing capacity of the poor beneficiaries
 To increase socio-economic status of the beneficiaries
 To reduce poverty of the country
 To contribute in Gross Domestic Production of the country
