Sky & Telescope's Pocket Sky Atlas - Sinnott, Roger W - 2006 - Cambridge, Mass. - Sky Pub. - 9781931559317 - Anna's Archive

This document provides an introduction to Sky & Telescope's Pocket Sky Atlas. The atlas contains charts of the night sky with over 30,000 stars visible to the naked eye along with deep sky objects. It is designed to be compact and easy to use for amateur astronomers when stargazing. The charts show constellation figures, stars, deep sky objects, and the Milky Way for quick identification using binoculars or a small telescope.

Perfect for experienced stargazers and beginners

alike, Sky & Telescope’s Pocket Sky Atlas will
have you exploring the heavens in no time!

Sky & Telescope’s celestial atlases are the standard by which all other star
atlases have been judged for a half century. Now we've raised the bar with our
new Pocket Sky Atlas. There has never been such a wonderfully detailed atlas
so handy to take on trips and use at the telescope, thanks to its compact size,
convenient spiral-bound design, and easy-to-read labels. The charts show both
constellation boundaries and stick figures to help you find your way.

Features of this 80-chart atlas:

° More than 30,000 stars
individually sized according
to their relative brightness
Ic 10% Vg 2 1,500 deep-sky objects color-
vdB 1
coded by type, including 675
galaxies oriented as they are
in the sky
2 Labels legible even in dim light
e Fits in a glove compartment,
so you need never leave home
without it
