❶ International student may refer to this application guide to apply for admissions to the General
Graduate School of Sungkyunkwan University.
‣ Applicant who does not meet any of the following requirements is not eligible to apply to this
particular admissions track, and may apply to the General Admissions track :
1) Applicant with foreign citizenship whose parents also hold foreign citizenships
2) Applicant including overseas Korean who completed the entire education outside Korea
3) North Korean Refugees

❷ Application documents should be submitted online.

‣ Application documents should be submitted online, and only accepted students will be required
to submit the original documents via postal or in person by the notified due.
‣ Applicant should submit an online application with all the required documents scanned and
uploaded in PDF form. (refer to the p.5-6)
‣ Applicant may be requested to submit additional documents via postal by the department
office for evaluation.

❸ This is the 2nd round for the Spring 2024 intake.

‣ The 3rd round application will start in December 2023.
‣ Please note that there may be departments only accepting applications in the 2nd round.

A. There is no set quota for international student admissions.

5. Admission Evaluation
A. Admission decision will be made based on the overall evaluation of application documents, self-introduction, study
plan, academic performance, language proficiency, accomplishments and other references.
B. Each department may decide the requirements on language proficiency or other evaluation criteria, including
interview or written test. Applicant must check the department requirements.
C. Applicant should attend the interview or written tests when required by the department.
