a word. Read aloud the advice here about using a dictionary to help with pronunciation. If your Ss

and say the sounds they represent. Ss look at a table in the dictionary to work out the words. Ss
listen to the recording and check their answers. Check spelling by asking individuals to write the
words on the board.
