User Manual

Launch the “SYSmarkNG” application to get this Dashboard page on the screen.

Important GUI elements:

1. Settings button – Takes the user to settings page.


2. Info button – Not implemented yet. Placeholder for ‘About’ page for benchmark.
3. Help button – Not implemented yet. Placeholder for help links.
4. Overall performance score – User can see the overall performance score at the end of complete valid
benchmark run for the given settings. When there are no previous runs or for invalid runs, overall
score will be shown as “N/A”.
5. Productivity score – User gets the aggregate score of all productivity workloads ran with the given
settings. When there are no previous runs or for invalid runs, productivity score will be shown as N/A”.
6. Creativity score – User gets the aggregate score of all creativity workloads ran with the given settings.
When there are no previous runs or for invalid runs, creativity score will be shown as “N/A”.
7. Responsiveness score – User gets the aggregate score of all responsiveness workloads ran with the
given settings. When there are no previous runs or for invalid runs, responsiveness score will be shown
as “N/A”.
8. Performance chart – User can compare scores between consecutive runs as well as between
calibration system and test system with the help of the comparison chart. Calibration system scores is
shown as horizontal red line in the comparison chart area after at least one valid run. When there are
no previous runs, comparison chart area is empty.
9. Run Benchmark button – User clicks this button to run the SYSmarkNG benchmark with given settings.
On clicking this button takes the user to benchmark running page.
10. Submit results button – User can submit the PDF from a successfully completed run to the server
website using this option. This button click takes use to submit results page.
11. View PDF button – User clicks this button to view the PDF of a successful run.

Important UI elements in Run Benchmark page are as follows:

1. Process icon – This icon represents the process performed in the background.
2. Status message – This text informs the user about the process running in the background. The
processes running in the background includes getting system information, copying & validating of input
files, running each scenario workloads, validating output files and generation of scores & PDF.
3. Iteration number – This text informs the user about the current running iteration.
4. Progress bar – Progress bar indicates the progress of the benchmark run as each underlying process
advances. It starts at 0% and ends at 100%.
5. Cancel button – User is given the control to cancel the benchmark at any stage of the run.
Settings GUI Screen
Clicking Settings button takes user to settings screen as below

1. Project name: Name of the project. This is an auto populated string based on number of previously ran
projects.
2. Number of Iterations: Number of iterations to be ran. This number ranges from 1 – 50. User clicks +/-
buttons to increase or decrease the iteration number.
Default value is 1.
3. Productivity: Determines whether productivity scenario should be included in the run. This could be set
to on or off. When set to “on” productivity scenario is included in the run.
Default value is On.
4. Creativity: Determines whether creativity scenario should be included in the run. This could be set to
on or off. When set to “on” creativity scenario is included in the run.
Default value is On.
5. Responsiveness: Determines whether Responsiveness scenario should be included in the run. This
could be set to on or off. When set to “on” Responsiveness scenario is included in the run.
Default value is On.
6. Conditioning Run: When set to “on” performs conditioning run. Could be set to on or off state.
Default value is On.
Submit Results Page

1. User’s name: Provide user’s name. Required field


2. Company: Provide user’s company. Required field
3. Email Address: Provide user’s email address. Required field
4. Notes: Provide any notes for the PDF submission. Optional field
5. Results button: Allows user to browse PDF from system/device and submit it only if the PDF is valid and
is not submitted before.
6. Submit button: submits the PDF to BAPCO website. User is navigated to another screen that shows the
status of result submission.s
