Leica IVF Flyer
Leica IVF Flyer
Leica Microsystems` traditional and digital microscopy solutions for clinical and life science research
applications focus on the user. You can expect detail-enhancing clarity from exceptional optics and
all-day comfort from advanced ergonomics.
Leica’s clinical microscopes help you see all the finest details required for a precise and accurate
diagnosis, while helping you achieve high-quality results in your scientific research.
Change slides and adjust focus and position of the stage with one hand
The stage plate is built to last. The surface is made of a durable, hard
ceramic that is built to take years of demanding use
Leica DM Microscopes are designed for accurate clinical diagnostics. While they are ideal for routine
tasks, there is no compromise in the performance or range of features for more advanced
techniques. With a rugged, solid design combined with excellent optics, Leica DM Microscopes can
be equipped with a full range of accessories. Leica can truly personalize a microscope to an
individual user’s unique needs.
Available with the ICC50 Wifi camera with LAS software integrated in
the camera module
Use these models in your first steps to view, count and check healthy
sperm - YOU can chose to view directly through the microscope or
attach the camera and view on a screen
The Greenough stereo microscope, S APO with apochromatic 8:1 zoom and high magnification up to
80x is ideal for quality control, cell sorting, and microinjection applications.
MICROMANIPULATION
Micromanipulation
In many time-lapse or multi-dimensional experiments, cell manipulation is the starting point for
subsequent analysis. Microinjection with DNA, RNA or probes into adherent cells enable you to
better understand pathways and intracellular machinery. DNA, stem cells or spermatozoa
microinjection into oocytes or blastocysts are performed to create transgenic or cloned organisms,
or to fertilize oocytes for Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART), such as in vitro fertilization (IVF).
Furthermore the CRISPR/Cas9 technique is used to produce transgene animals. With several Leica
configurations to meet your needs and budget, you will be sure to find the perfect
micromanipulation solution.
For special diagnostics requirements, the microscope is certified for in-vitro-diagnostics (IVD)
including in-vitro-fertilization (IVF).
Contrasting methods
Perfect Stability
DMi8 equipped with our mechanical micromanipulators is the workhorse for precision and
robustness. The joystick movement transfers directly to the tip of the capillary, without any
backlash.
Fully Motorized Micromanipulation: The fully motorized Leica DMi8 and Eppendorf
micromanipulators allow you to store and recall important functions, thereby increasing speed and
precision. A touch screen can be added for easy and intuitive control of all microscope functions.
By far one of our greatest successes has been the installation of the DMi8 at the University of
Pretoria in Ondersterpoort, for Mr Mario Smits who is focusing on IVF in animals.
We Installed the Manual DMi8 from Leica which was coupled to the Narishige Micromanipulators.
Our Leica Product Specialist is 1 of the 2 Narishige certified operators in South Africa with intimate
knowledge on how these accessories work and just how well they marry to the Leica Microscopes.
Below is some pictures of unit installed and images that were taken using this system.
