Engaging ‘Technical Expert’ on contract basis

1. Electronics Corporation of India Limited is a leading Schedule-A Public Sector Enterprise (under
Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India) engaged in the area of Strategic Electronics with
thrust on innovation & indigenization. ECIL operates in strategic sectors like Nuclear, Defence,
Aerospace, Information Technology, Telecom, Network & Homeland Security, CBRN and e-
Governance. ECIL pioneered a number of products and technologies include Solid State
Television, Digital Computer, Cockpit Voice Recorders, Electronic Voting Machines,
Programmable Logic Controllers, Earth Station and Deep Space Network Antennas. It has close
collaboration with national R&D laboratories as well as Academic Institutes and has been
involved in the projects of national importance

2. Nuclear Sector is the primary business segment of ECIL and to support the upcoming
opportunities in this area, ECIL is looking for a ‘Technical Expert’ on tenure based contract and
the post details are as mentioned below:

1. He / She should be a Science / Engineering Graduate with ISNT level III
certification in Ultrasonic Testing and Eddy Current testing.

2. Should have 30+ years of experience in the selection of probe and

calibration of systems for Ultrasonic and Eddy current testing.
Experience
Experience in in-service inspection of Class I components of nuclear
power plants is desirable
1. 1. Should be able to interpret the relevant codes of ASME related to In-
service inspection of critical nuclear reactor components.
Scope of Work 2. Should be able to prepare technique sheets for inspection and should
be able to guide and educate young engineers in the field of Ultrasonic
and Eddy current examination.

3. Remuneration: The incumbent is eligible to the following consolidated pay & allowances:
a) Consolidated Remuneration - ₹ 75,000 per Month (All inclusive)
b) Telephone & Internet Charges - ₹ 1000 per Month.
c) TA/DA on official tours would be paid as per extant rules of the company in the equivalent
pay grade.

4. The contract can be terminated by one month’s notice by either side.

5. Preference will be given to the candidates who have retired from premier DAE units such as
BARC, IGCAR, NFC, NPCIL etc.
6. A Medical certificate from Company / Government Medical Officer certifying the applicant’s
Fitness is required to be produced at the time of joining

7. Interested persons with the right qualification, experience and aptitude may send their

8. During the contract period, the applicants should not take up any assignment with other
institutions / Industry.

9. The applicants should ensure that there is no conflict of interest, in the event of their joining ECIL
as an Expert.

10. The upper age limit is 68 years as on date of selection.

11. Method of selection: Initial screening (Document verification) followed by Personal Interview by
an expert selection committee.
