The document summarizes the author's experience with an industrial attachment at an auto electrical company. Some of the key aspects covered in the college curriculum included general workshop safety, batteries, soldering, wiring, starting systems, charging systems, lighting systems, and ignition systems. The author acquired skills in vehicle diagnosis, communication, soldering, wiring, tool usage, and repairing various electrical components. Gaps in the firm's training included hybrid vehicles and communication systems. The college curriculum could be improved by adding topics like electronic control module remapping, sensor testing, and electrical vehicle systems. The attachment experience helped boost the author's confidence, though it identified needs like more training resources and personal protective equipment.
