Direct and Indirect Speech

This document contains two exercises on direct and indirect speech. Exercise 1 provides 10 sentences in direct speech and asks to change them to reported or indirect speech. 7. The young girl asked the man, ‘Will you do me a favour?’
8. The fisherman said, ‘I haven’t caught any fish today.’
9. Mitra said, ‘I go for a walk every morning.’
10. The actor said, ‘My new film is due for release next month.’
11. “Please take me to the park, Father,” the little boy said.
12. “Do the exercises from pages sixty to sixty-two,” Miss Malhotra said to the pupils.
