All cables, conduits & connectors will be installed as per SASO, reference standards and
manufacturers recommendation.
It will be making sure that all cables do not exceed the minimum bending radius
described in standards.
Cable ends will be sealed during pulling and after cutting in order to prevent ingress of
moisture.
Cable spacing from other services and cable support will be provided as described in the
standards.
All cables will be terminated using compression lugs and heat-shrinkable termination kit.
Coordination with other discipline will be done for the routes of the conduit prior to start
cable pulling activity.
9.2. Installation
9.2.1 Pre-Installation Test
Cable Insulation test shall be performed on cable drum prior to installation.
Cables shall be tested as per approved ITP/Checklist or standards.
The continuity of each core will be checked.
Medium Voltage resistance test shall be at 5000V DC.
After completion of test the ends of the cable shall be sealed in order to prevent the
ingress of moisture.
Before installation of cables, Trench, duct banks and sleeves (if any) will be checked for
damage.
It will be ensured that all the test equipment’s have valid calibration certificate issued by
