Job
J Role:
Job responsibility

 Provide general and routine technical support to a broad range of Performance,


installation, patching, configuration issues, and updates to virtual infrastructure. Should
be able todiagnose, analyze, and resolve problems effectively.

 Active coordination with team members and other groups to effectively perform basic
Windows Server and administration support for daily operations. Follows procedures
and guidelines to install, patch, configure, customize, troubleshoot, upgrade, integrate,
and maintain systems, software, network and port configuration, host - based firewalls,
and peripherals.

 Maintain documented (e.g. Disaster Recovery) procedures for OS Infrastructure


including Hardware/Software Inventory. Collaborates and contributes with team
members, software vendors, and other technical staff to develop, design, implement,
and continuously improve systems.
Skillset

1) Software knowledge - Microsoft Windows Server OS 2012/2016/2019, VMware,


Nutanix, Microsoft VDI, Microsoft IIS.

2) Hardware Knowledge

 Intel X86 Platform (Dell, Lenovo) Blade chassis & Rack Servers
 Experience on Installation and configuration of Bare Metal Rack Servers
 Knowledge on Hardware Firmware and updating
 Knowledge on Configuration of Blade Chassis and its Networking & Storage Modules.
 Knowledge on Configuration of hardware RAID

3) VMware Administration:

 Expert knowledge & Hands-on Experience onVMware vSphere 7.X, 8.X


 Should have thorough understanding and working knowledge of Clusters, HA, DRS,
v-Motion, Update Manager and templates.
 ESXI command base troubleshooting. Should be familiar with Skyline Diagnostics.
 In-depth understanding of Networking & SAN Storage concepts in Virtualization.
 Expert in Performance Management & Troubleshooting.
 Expert Knowledge of the vROPS, SRM, VSphere Replication.
 Thorough knowledge on VMware VSAN.
 Installation of ESXi, vCenter, vLogInsight, VMware Data Protection, NSX, Virtual
Machine operating system (Linux/Windows).
 Creation of vCenter clusters, distributed virtual switches, distributed port groups.
 Virtual Machine OS (Linux/Windows) configuration.
 Configuration of SAN (FC, NFS) and LUN management in VSphere.

4) Windows Server OS Administration

 Expert Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2012R2, 2016, 2019 Administration


 Installation & Configure of Windows Server OS
 Expert Knowledge on Microsoft troubleshooting skills and tools.
 Thorough Knowledge on OS Hardening and Vulnerability assessment.
 Expert knowledge on Performance management & troubleshooting
 In-depth Knowledge and understanding of Terminal Services and RDP protocol
 Knowledge on Microsoft RDHS Broker and VDI

5) Other Skillsets required

 Should have worked on supporting an enterprise class Data Center.


 Knowledge on SAN Storage Concepts including FC, NFS & NVME protocols
 Understating of SAN zoning and Brocade San switch technology
 Knowledge of TCPIP, DHCP, DNS and Troubleshooting.
 Basic Knowledge on Power shell scripting
 Basic Knowledge of AD group policies.
 Basic knowledge of Linux systems & Cloud - Azure and AWS.
 Basic Knowledge of Backup Technologies like Commvault, Veeam etc.
 Anti - virus, Compliance Patch management
