2. Introduction
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Character Creation returns in Broken Destiny with new features. The

ability to change physical attributes and muscularity has been removed.
Instead, it has been replaced by the ability to adjust the rotation,
position and size of some equipped items. The number of custom
character slots has been reduced from 50 in Soul Calibur 4 to 16 in
Broken Destiny.

This is my second guide to be made for Soul Calibur: Broken Destiny.

Character Creation is one my favorite feature in Soul Calibur. I've
been customizing anime and video game characters since Soul Calibur 3.
My Customized Characters may not look like the real thing, but I tried
my best to make it look as close as possible.

This guide contains a brief description about Character Creation, some

tips on how to create customized characters and sample characters I've
made. Most of the characters I've made were taken from well known anime
and video games such as Final Fantasy, Tekken, Dead or Alive, etc.

3. About Character Creation
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Character Creation is divided into two portions. Under them are

submenus and I've described each portion for better understanding.
3.1. Original Character Creation
--------------------------------

Equipment
- Entire Equip Set: Randomly changes your entire equipment set.
- Undergarments: Inner clothing and tattoos.
- Head: Hats, hoods, hairbands, masks, helms, etc.
- Upper Body: Breastplates, cuirass, shirt, vest, suit, etc.
- Shoulder: Spaulders and pauldrons.
- Arm: Gauntlets, armlets, gloves and braces.
- Lower Body: Pants, hakamas, slacks, breeches, etc.
- Leg: Greaves, boots, shoes, etc.
- Special1: Necklace, capes, tails, horns, etc.
- Special2: Faulds, belts, tassets, etc.

Adjust Equipment
- Allows you to adjust a particular equipment.
- Change the width, height, and depth.
- Move it back, horizontal or vertical.
- Rotate it horizontal, vertical or slant.
- Take note that not all equipment are adjustable. To know if an
equipment could be adjusted, check if there is a blue box with four
arrows beside the equipments name. Most of the adjustable items are
found in the Special equipment.

Equipment Color
- Allows you to change the color and brightness of your equipment.

Model Information
- Change the color of your hair, eyebrow, eye, skin and underwear.
- Choose from a wide variety of hairstyle.
- Face Type (8 female and 13 male).
- Voice Type (10 female and 9 male).
- Adjust your voice pitch with a minimum of -50 and maximum of +50.

Style / Weapon
- Pick your fighting style and weapon from 26 regular Broken Destiny
characters. Kratos and Algol are not included.

System
- Finish Editing: Take photo of the thumbnail and save changes. You
have the choice of 7 Poses, 45 Frames, and 79 Backgrounds in taking
your characters picture.
- Edit Name: Input the name of your character.
- Pose: Change the character standing pose. Pick from 4 Poses and check
out your character from any angle to see if it's the way you want it.

3.2. Regular Character Creation

-------------------------------
Let's you edit the regular 28 Broken Destiny characters. Unlike in
Original Character Creation, your ability to customize regular
characters is limited. But just like Original Character Creation, after
editing your regular character it occupies a slot in your Customized
Character Selection.
Equipment Color
- Allows you to change the equipments color.
- You can either change each part or change it as a whole set.

Model Information
- Change the color of the characters hair and eyebrow. Take note that
this not applicable to some characters, specifically to those who do
not have any hair: Lizard Man, Astaroth, Yoshimitsu, Voldo, Kratos,
Nightmare and Zasalamel.

Style / Weapon
- Since you are customizing regular characters you cannot change their
designated Style. However, you can change their weapon. Remember though
that some weapons are unlocked by achieving honors.

Finish Editing
- Like Original Character Creation you are given the opportunity to
take a picture of your Customized Regular Character with a pose, frame,
and background of your choice. Afterwards, it will be available in the
Character Selection screen along with your other customized characters.

4. How to Create Customized Chars.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Creating customized characters is quite easy. These are some steps to

help you.

1. Think of a character you want to create or better yet get a picture.

2. Dress up your character from head to toe by choosing from the

Equipment Menu. Pick the equipment that is closest to your characters
image.

3. Adjust any equipment that needs adjusting.

4. Change the color of your equipment. Check each color pixel until you
find the exact color of the character you are trying to create. Take
note also of adjusting the brightness.

5. Pick a face out of 13 choices for male and 8 for female that greatly
reflects your characters facial expression.

6. Select your characters voice out of 9 selection for male and 10 for
female. Don't forget to adjust the pitch with a minimum of (-50) and a
maximum of (+50).

7. One of the most important thing to remember in creating a customized

character is the hair. Choose a hair with the closest resemblance to
character you are trying to create and adjust the hair color carefully.
This also includes the checking of the eye, eyebrow, and skin color.

8. Choose a style and weapon out of 26 Broken Destiny characters that

suites your customized character. Kratos and Algol are excluded.

9. Finally, finish editing by taking a picture of your character with a

pose, frame, and background of your choice.

10. Time to try out your customized character in an actual battle and
check for any errors. You can always come back to Character Creation to
edit your character until you get the perfect look.

5. Customized Characters
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Feel free to change any equipment if you notice there's something

better. It is unnecessary to follow my poses, frames, and backgrounds.
These are just sample photos which I believe fits the characters pretty
well. You can always change the photo of your character depending on
your taste. Beside the characters name are name of the anime or game
from which they came from. Some of the equipments are unlocked by
achieving honors.
