use APA referencing. Globalization is the growing connection of people and countries. It is also a way of recognizing what a country can offer such as products, culture, information and advanced technology in global stage. 2. What are its good and bad sign? The good side of globalization is it provide jobs to people giving them regular and increase in income. It also gives easier access to avail products in affordable prices around the world. Technological advancement is also one of the good effects of globalization. It makes the job of workers and daily living more convenient. On the other hand, the bad side of globalization is poor people stays poor as rich people are the most benefited by it in some countries. As globalization gives a lot of opportunities to some, others are also losing opportunities due to competition of local and international business in a country. Some workers may also lose their jobs as some companies are investing to more advanced production like using machineries instead of human labor. 3. What are the impacts of globalization in communication? Globalization introduced different ways of communication in doing businesses. With the use of modern technology, it made industries around the world connected. The following are some of the impacts of globalization in business: 1. Virtual interaction – it includes video calls, emails and chats as a way of communication between two or more persons. Meetings in virtual and face to face setting have difference that is why it is important to study its difference and to adapt on each one. 2. Cultural awareness in speech – it is a must to study and learn about the culture of other entity to assure misunderstanding and misinterpretation of what is said. 3. Cultural awareness in body language – In a face to face setting, it is important to consider the physical expression that we present. Considering the speaking distance, eye contact and posture is important especially if the one that you are talking to has different culture. It may result to other person being uncomfortable and feel disrespected. 4. Time differences – it is important to consider the time zone in some parts of the world. The one that you may talk to may be asleep or busy because of different time zone from your country so respecting the time difference is a great consideration.
4. What are its impacts to global communication?
There are three major impacts of communication on global communication according Danev (2017): Availability of information – with the advancement of different technologies, it gave people a more convenient access to several information such as news on television with different channels and browsing to different websites. Business conduct – companies around the world need not to travel to attend meetings and conferences as the introduction of emails and video calls are already possible. Social Awareness – with the easy access of information in websites and other platforms, it increases the awareness of people around the world. It also enables them to share their opinions, researches and projects that may be helpful to others.
5. What are the impacts of technology on communication?
“Padilla, Dagdag and Rojas” (n.d.) said that the impacts of technology on communication are: 1. Technology provides us with unlimited information – with unending question we have in our mind, we could get answers by just searching it online and getting information to credible websites. 2. It creates opportunities for meeting new people – a lot of social media platforms are available online and it gives opportunity to meet new people by posting pictures and videos, chatting and playing games with other people around the world. 3. It helps us keep in touch with family and friends anywhere in the world – with the development of technologies, it made communication between families and friends to keep in touch and converse. Writing letters and mailing it through post office are quite expensive and takes days before being delivered and it is great that emails and social media platforms were developed and made communication easier and convenient between people. 4. It brings new diversity to our culture and our lives. Engaging to the advancement of the technology changes also our daily lives. Through browsing the internet, we could learn different cultures from different countries. School projects can be done with the help of different applications and editing apps. It also offers a lot of services like paying bills and shopping online so that it would not consume a lot of time of a person. 5. It fosters better cooperation among different cultural groups. As social media becomes a way to communicate with people around the world, we can also exchange information to get more knowledge and improve our expertise. According to Turkle (2012), the impact of technology in communication is it isolates us. Almost everyone has a mobile phone. Wherever we go, we bring our phones. Even if we watch tv with our families, we have a phone in hand that we use that separate us from others. We use cellphones to connect with people that is far from us, but the truth is, it also disconnects us from people around us. It can also make us create second lives. (Gamble & Gamble, 2013). With almost everyone of us is engaged with the use of different social media platforms, we create a profile that we want to present to the world. With this virtual character, a lot of people are more engaged on the virtual community and takes most of their time being online.

words. The connection of gender sensitivity to globalization is it enables people to communicate without expressing discrimination, disrespect and show gender equality with among themselves. Some examples of gender-neutral words: 1. Ancestors, forebears (instead of forefathers) 2. Chair, chairperson, coordinator (instead of chairman) 3. Courteous, cultured (instead of ladylike) 4. First-year student (instead of freshman) 5. Human resources (instead of manpower) 6. Legislator, representative (instead of congressman) 7. People, humankind (instead mankind) 8. Person, individual (instead of man) 9. Police officer (instead of policeman) 10. Solidarity (instead of brotherhood)

The ten commandments of Intercultural Communication by Martin Hahn (2005) are: 1. Be aware of differing social values. 2. Be aware of differing status symbols and how to demonstrate them. 3. Be aware of decision-making customs; not all people like to make decisions quickly and efficiently. 4. Be aware of concepts of time; not all people like to see time as money. 5. Be aware of personal space; people from different cultures have different “comfort zone”. 6. Be aware of cultural context; people from certain called (“high-context culture”) rely less on verbal communication and more on the context of non- verbal actions and environmental settings to be conveying meaning.
