Part-A: Compare and Contrast Essay on studying at NSU campus and at your home

Study is to apply oneself to acquiring a knowledge of something to examine or investigate


carefully and in detail. A person starts studying first in life at his/her home and then he/she gets
enrolled to any educational institution. This educational institutions are school, college,
university. Among of them, North South University as in NSU is a university which is situated at
dhaka in Bangladesh. It is a well-known university of this country. More than 25,000 students
study in this institution. For these students, they might face some similarities and differences on
studying at NSU campus and at home. They will face such similarities like there would be same
course outline for them, faculties would be the same, lectures would be same etc and such
differences like facing problems while interacting with each other, lack of showing creativity,
lack of facilities etc.
For each and every course, there has to be a course outline for both faculties and students.
Course outline consists everything written about the course. How the course should run, the
steps, groups works, projects etc are mentioned there. So it is an essential thing for both the
students and faculties. Whether the students study at their versity campus or at their home, they
will get the same course outline about their courses so there would be no changes on that.
To complete a course or to study in a university, having faculty is a must. A faculty is a course
instructor as well as a guideline provider by himself. The faculty or instructor will guide or teach
the students regarding their course material. Whether it is at the versity campus or at home, the
instructor or faculty will be the same in both cases. Every course has their particular faculties or
instructors so the faculty students would get at their campus, will get the same faculty at their
home studies by virtual classes.
According to the course outline, every lectures will be taken place on the right time. At
university, students will go to their classes in mentioned times and attend the lectures. But in
case of home study, if campus classes are not happening or classes are temporarily off then the
faculty can take their classes through online class. Students will have individual emails or IDs
with which they can join the lectures. Otherwise the faculty can post the whole class lecture of
that day in their class group page so that students will get the lectures as well as before.
Students can face a lot of differences on studying at their campus and their home. Firstly, in
campus, students can interact with many other students or friends so they can share their ideas
with others and discuss as well. But at home, there is a very less opportunity to interact with
other students frequently or properly. So they face a lot of hindrance to talk with others. It
hampers their moral development and social personality.
When the students will attend the classes at their campus physically, they can get to know a lot
of things in real. There is a lot of difference between virtuality and reality. In a virtual class, a
student can not gain as much knowledge and experience as campus class. In campus, they can
show their talent, they can ask their instructors as much as they have questions, they can do other
activities like clubbing, debate etc as well. These all things develop student’s creativity and their
personality. They can gather a lot of experience based on reality. But on the other hand, at home
in virtual classes, students are not allowed to enjoy their co-curricular activities because they
have no way to do so. Eventually, they cannot be themselves at all. This thing hampers
someone’s mental health as well as self development.
At campus, a student can take many facilities regarding studies whereas he can’t at home. Such
as, using library, lab etc. Library, labs are major essentials for a student to use for further
knowledge and experience. There are many things which a student can’t find in text books or
authorized books. So, he needs to use the library in this purpose because there are a huge amount
of books of every criteria available in NSU Central Library. He can read those books to gain
more idea & knowledge. Moreover, for especially the student who studies CSE, EEE etc has to
use the lab for their experiment purpose which is mostly important. Without a lab support, they
cannot do any experiment for their courses. Meanwhile, the students who studies from home,
cannot get these facilities at all so they always have a lack of doing experimental works.
Study is essential for everyone in life whether at campus or at home. An educated nation makes a
better impact on a country’s development as well as their ownself. But it is also true that only
study cannot make a person better or developed. Everyone needs their mental health
development besides their studies. For self development a person should not spend all the time
doing a single work rather he should do more than 2 works in a day like study, playing sports or
exercise daily and giving time to his family or friends etc. Otherwise his life would not be much
interesting but bored. Doing experimental works make a person active in life and practical as
well. Sums up, it develops a person from inner as well as outer being. So doing classes at campus
or at home, we must ensure one thing that we should not be bored and we have to make our life
more interesting everyday by ownself so that nothing can hamper our mental health as well as
self development. When a student studies in his campus he must ensure that he gives his family
and himself a needed time of a day and in case of studying at home he must ensure that he talks
with others freely as well as doing experimental work. But a campus as well as home both play
vital role in a student life so a student should make the best use of both of these.
Part-B: Cause and effect analysis essay on the reasons for which I chose to enroll in North
South University and the effects of getting admitted to this university

University is a place that the students can learn and gain more knowledge anf gain further
experiences to build their career. Of course, each and everyone has their own reasons to study or
to enroll into a university. I am a university student and I also had some reasons for getting into a
university. My university name is North South University. There were so many reasons for me to
enroll in this university. Such as, the fame this university carries, it’s huge campus and
worldwide internationally trained faculties etc and after enrolling to this university, there were so
much effects I witnessed as well such as, development on my creativity skill, joining clubs and
their service to their students through RDS which is a student portal service etc.
North South University is one of the best universities in Bangladesh and among all private
universities it ranks 1 in every scenario. I had a plan to go abroad and study over there after my
college ends but when I got to know that this university provides all the facilities and educations
as same as foreign international universities, I made up my mind to study in my own mother land
and study in NSU. In every criteria such as academic activity, sports, cultural activity, clubbing
etc NSU stands in the top peak. So all around of me, I witnessed a huge fame of this university.
So then I decided and got admitted into North South University.
Campus is called the heart of a university. Campus is the place where students gather and enjoy
their versity time over there. So, if I talk about campus, North South University is the only
university which has it’s own campus among all private universities. And everybody loves to
have a campus in their university so I also wanted my university to have a own campus on their
own. So before admission, I went to the North South University just to have a pre visit. When I
just entered into the university I just was amazed to see it’s whole interior and manufacture
design. I was just wondering how a university could be this beautiful. So instead of a while I
totally spent almost a day visiting the whole campus and its unbelievable that I was being
amazed right after every moments I was passing by. So it’s huge and beautiful campus attracted
me so badly that I had no choice but to enroll to this university.
The faculty or instructor provides the Power of Education to today’s youth, thereby giving them
the possibility for a better future. Especially in university life, faculties are the most major
influence for the students. The teaching role of faculty members reflects their centrality in
addressing the primary educational mission among universities. As faculty members teach, they
disseminate and impart basic or applied knowledge to students and assist students with the
learning process and applying the knowledge. North South University is blessed to have a huge
number of worldwide trained faculties. Some of them are even foreigners who are doing their job
here. Studies have shown that faculty-student interactions can have significant influence on
students' perceptions of their university experience. Since, NSU faculties are well trained so they
know how to provide themselves to their students in the best possible way. This is one of those
reasons I chose to enroll into North South University.
Despite having some causes or reasons, there are some effects of getting admitted to North South
University. After I started doing classes I could feel that my creativity skills has been developed
greatly. In every classes the faculties used to make us do some practical work as a group work or
individual. Even after every classes they used to assist us to read some research papers given by
them or to make one on anything mentioned. Moreover interacting with everyone made me
confident about myself and independent. The faculties gave us all the proper guideline so that we
could make ourself better as well as our study method. So these things my creativity skill
developed greatly and I think it would come up with a great advantage in my job career or
afterwards.
After admitting to NSU, I also noticed there have a lot of clubs here. Approximately there are 24
clubs in North South University. These clubs are of various kinds such as science club, youth
club, music club, drama club, sports club etc. And surprisingly almost every students are linked
with any of these clubs. Some are linked with only one club and some are more than one club.
The first friend I made in NSU insisted me to join a club as well. So I joined a club called YES
Club which is of business background. Since I am BBA student so I chose to join that one
particularly. I saw various kind of people there, some are funny, some are introvert, some are
extrovert, some are very rude etc. Since I was the most junior member so I was quite numb all
the time but some great seniors made me feel comfortable and insisted me a lot of thing to do.
This club actually organizes entrepreneurship competition, business competition etc where the
participants show their creativity about their ideas. Even they organize a lot of seminar which is
very useful for everyone. So clubbing is the thing which NSU made me to do.
RDS or online student-faculty portal service is one of the most best service NSU provides. RDS
is for both the faculties and the students. Everyone has to create an ID here with there ID Card
information and then they can access to it. If any of the students or faculties can’t be able to take
or attend the class then the faculty will upload that day lecture on RDS so that everyone can go
through the lectures they missed and compensate their absence. Even any kind of notice or
information are being uploaded to RDS. So to me, this is the most useful service I got from NSU
authority because most of the time I miss my classes due to long traffic so I can easily get the
lectures from RDS and my study doesn’t even get stopped for any while.
University plays a vital role in everyone’s life and so does in mine. Everyone has their own
reasons to choice their university and every university has their own particular services they
provide or maybe in common. I also had my reasons to get myself admitted to North South
University and the service and facilities I got from North South University are the best facilities a
university could ever provide.
