Machine Tool Prototype factory, Ambarnath (MTPF) is an unit of Armoured Vehicle Nigam Limited is a
new DPSU (AVNL) , engaged in manufacturing of transmission gear boxes for Armoured Vehicles and
Field Guns, Machine tools, Kavach System for Indian Navy etc. Application are invited from professionals
for the following positions on fixed term contract basis, as per “Annexure A”
01. Design Engineer
HOW TO APPLY:
1. Interested candidates m a y download the application form the website (www.avnl.co.in) as
attached at “Annexure-B” to this advertisement. Hard copy duly filled in application shall be
submitted along with scanned copies of evidence of proof of age, qualification and experience, last
drawn pay including level/grade or CTC as applicable etc. The complete application in all respect
together with the required fee should be sent through speed post/courier service to the Works
Manager/CO & HR, Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited, HVF Road, Avadi, Chennai- 600054 super-
scribing the envelope with the name of the post applied for. Last date for receipt of Application at

2. Application Fee (Non-refundable Rs.30O/-) to be paid through SBI Collect (PSU-Armoured Vehicles
Nigam Limited – Miscellaneous) or by means of a Demand Draft drawn in favor of Armoured
Vehicles Nigam Limited, payable at Chennai. SC/ST /PWD/Ex-SM/EWS/ Female applicants are
exempted from payment of application fees.

DETAILED TERMS, QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, JOB SPECIFICATION, SKILLS RQUIRED FOR THE POST
1. LOCATION: Above post are for Machine Tool Prototype Factory, Ambarnath, Dist. Thane, Maharashtra.
However candidates must be willing to work in any location as decided by MTPF.
2. TENURE: 02 Years (extendable by another year)
3. NUMBER OF VACANCIES ; (02) 01 Design Engineer & 01 Project Engineer
4. QUALIFICATION : a) Full time B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering for Design Engineer
b) Full time B.E/B.Tech in Electronics for Project Engineer.
5. DESIRABLE :
a) Design Engineer: The Candidates should have proficiency in AutoCAD and Unigraphics NX software. Also
he / she should have working knowledge in MS office.
The candidate should have ability to design the components /sub-assembly/ assembly aesthetically and
functionally with new ideas.
b) Project Engineer: The Candidates should have good knowledge of designing of PCB, use of PCB simulator,
testing/analyzing PCB, programming of microcontroller using C language & other, use of programming
tools etc.
The candidate must good knowledge to handle electronic RF communication instruments such as
oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer etc.
6. EXPERIENCE REQUIERED FOR (Post Qualification)
a) Design Engineer : The candidates should have experience of minimum 3 years experience in design of
special purpose machine design or General purpose machine design.
b) Project Engineer: The candidates should have minimum 3 years experience in Electronic Circuit and PCB
designing and communication using RADAR , LASER technique etc.
7. AGE LIMIT: Upper age limit as on date of advertisement of candidate should not be more than 45 years
8. RENUMERATION :
a) Design Engineer : Rs. 50,000/-( All inclusive) NO increment shall be granted during the term of the
Contract. No other perks/benefits/allowances shall be applicable.
b) Project Engineer : Rs. 70,000/-( All inclusive) NO increment shall be granted during the term of the
Contract. No other perks/benefits/allowances shall be applicable.

9 The candidates have deep knowledge of material, heat treatment according to application.
10 The candidates should have in-depth knowledge in Unigraphics NX CAD software, motion /
simulation in NX and in Master-CAM and Unigraphics NX CAM software.
11 The candidates should have wide knowledge new system / technology available in market to increase
efficiency and maintaining safety norms.
13 The candidates should have ability to plan effectively to ensure machine / project to be deliver in time
with cost effective.

A. Selection Process: Selection will be based on qualification and experience and/or performance in the
interview/ interaction.
(i) SCREENING: Screening of Applications will be done by a Screening Committee constituted for that
purpose. Candidates are required to fill in the Applications Form (attached with the advertisement)
complete in all respects. The complete Application Form has to be submitted to MTPF/HR for screening
by the Screening Committee. Candidates may be shortlisted for interview. The Company may adopt
higher criteria in case of receipt of more number of applicant’s meetings eligibility criteria.
(ii) INTERVIEW:
a) Candidate should meet the eligibility criteria as specified in the advertisement. Candidates who
shortlisted for interview in the ratio of 1:5 in the order of merit, category and discipline.
b) Following weightage criteria will be followed for personal interview.
(i) Aggregate marks secured in BE / B.Tech etc. = 50%
(ii) Relevant post qualification experience = 15 %
(iii) 3 marks will be allocated for minimum experience stipulated for post.
(iv) 1.5 marks will be allocated for every additional experience of 6 months subject to maximum
of 15 marks.
(v) Personal Interview: For shortlisted candidates = 15 %
(vi) Candidates should perform the activities of = 20 %
CAD, CAM, motion / simulation on computer etc.
c) The names of candidates shortlisted for interview and final selection will be notified on
Company's website and communicated through e-mail also.
(iii) All such engagement will be recommended by a selection Board constituted by the Chief General
Manager/MTPF
B. TENURE:
The tenure of contract engagement on full time basis will be normally for the period specified in the
advertisement against each post, which is extendable depending on the performance and requirement.
C. Age Limit :
UPPER AGE LIMIT AS ON DATE OF ADVERTISE:
The age limit should be not more than 45 years for General & EWS candidates.
a) The upper age limit will be relaxable for OBC candidates (Non-creamy Layer) by 03 years and
SC/ST candidates by 05 years. For candidates belonging to PWD category having minimum 40%
disability or more will get 10 years. Relaxation in addition to the relaxation applicable to the
categories mentioned above.
b) SSLC/SSC/ISC mark card and any other valid document will be considered as proof of date of birth.
Please Note:
a) Candidates seeking age relaxation will be required to attach copy of necessary certificate along
with application and submit in original in case of selection or provide at any subsequent stage of
the process for verification.
b) The application of the candidates not meeting the prescribed age criteria will be rejected/
cancelled withoutany prior intimation.
c) Candidates belonging to OBC category (Non creamy layer) should produce the certificate issued
on or after 01.04.2022.
d) Candidates belonging to EWS category must produce valid Income & Asset Certificate.
a) For all the posts indicated, the candidates should have qualified from AICTE/UGC approved
college/Institute or recognized University.
b) Only full time regular courses will be considered as qualification and all qualifications should be
recognized by AICTE/UGC/appropriate Indian Statutory Authorities. Wherever CGPA/ OGPA or
letter grade in a Degree is awarded, equivalent percentage of marks should be indicated in the
application as per norms adopted by University/ Institutes. Candidates will be required to submit
documentary proof/ certificate to this effect from the Institute/ University at the time of
Interview, if called for the same.
c) Candidates applying for the above indicated posts should possess 55% and above for
General/EWS/OBC and Pass class for SC/ST/PWD.
d) Candidates have to compulsorily attach the Provisional / Final Degree Certificate as proof of
completion of Degree and indication of Class and percentage of marks.
e) In case any University/Institution or college is following an evaluation system of CGPA/DGPA/
OGPA or letter grade, wherever applicable, it is mandatory for the candidate to submit proof of
Percentage (%) issued by university/Institution/College and awarded class along with the degree
certificate.
f) In case there is no mention of specialization in the qualifying degree as required in the minimum
essential educational qualification, candidates are required to submit a Certificate from their
University / Institution / College which indicates their specialization in qualifying degree.
g) Candidate's application without the relevant prescribed documents mentioned will be rejected/
cancelled without any prior intimation.
E. Definition of Post Qualification Work Experience :
a) Design Engineer: Candidate should possess minimum Three years of relevant post-qualification
industrial experience.
b) Project Engineer : Candidate should possess minimum Three years of relevant post-qualification
industrial experience.
Please Note:
a) Candidate possessing relevant post-qualification Industrial experience only needs to apply.
b) Academy/Teaching/Research work, experience in non-profit organization, internship/project
work placements are part of academic curriculum will not be considered as experience. Work
experience prior to completion of B.E/B.Tech will not qualify as relevant Post Qualification
Experience.
c) Candidate should possess experience certificates/documents issued by the previous and present
employer clearly indicating period of employment and post held.
d) The decision of the Selection Committee with respect to industrial experience will be final.
Work experience indicated without supporting documents will not be considered and is liable to
be reject/cancelled without any prior intimation.
F. Documentary Evidence for Work Experience :
The candidate is required to submit experience certificate/documentary evidence for establishing work
experience as mentioned below:
1) For past employment:
WORK EXPERIENCE CERTIFICATE:
The submission of work experience certificate indicating the date of joining date or relieving , pay last
drawn, pay scale with duration and nature of jobs /specific areas of experience /experience in the
relevant fields/ Projects handled etc. in compulsory for all the past employment which the candidate is
mentioning in the application form. In case experience certificate from any of the past employers is not
submitted, it may lead rejection of the candidature. So candidate are advised to ensure that the
experience certificate indicating the date of joining, date of relieving and other details as mentioned
above is attached for minimum requisite experience details mentioned in the application form.
ii) Proof of continuity of present employment –Latest Pay Slips for three months.
Note: 1. If the candidate is not able to provide experience certificate for current employment, the
candidate must submit the documents mentioned at Sl. No. 2 & 3 to clearly prove the continuity in
the job.
2. Self-declaration regarding nature of job /specific areas of experience /experience in the relevant
fields /Projects handled etc. will not be considered/accepted.
3. Non-Submission of the documents as mentioned above for establishing requisite experience may
lead to rejection of the candidature.
G. Remuneration:
For fixed term contract of professionals – consolidated monthly remuneration.
If retired Govt. officials are engaged , their remuneration shall be fixed by deducting the amount of
pension from his salary drawn at the time of retirement or the consolidated monthly payment,
whichever is lower.
Payment will be made after Tax deduction at source. TDS certificate shall be issued by the Company.
