What is Propaganda?
Propaganda is the dissemination
of information—facts, arguments,
rumours, half-truths, or lies—to
influence other people.

1. Bandwagon
Influencing people by
telling them how everyone
is using it.
2. Testimonial
A famous person or celebrity
endorses the product to give
testimony and influence the
people
3. Plain Folks
It uses ordinary people as
endorsers to show that
the product is being used
by usual persons.
4. Emotional Words
Uses words that make
the consumer emotional.
(Happy, disturbed, sad,
etc.)
5. Card Stacking
Highlighting the positives of
a product while downplaying
any possible negatives and
side-effects.
6. Name Calling
A technique that persuades
you to avail the product or
service because of the negative
image it creates against
another product or service.
7. Bribery
Bribery is when a commercial
tries to convince you to buy
their product by adding
something "extra" to
sweeten the deal of buying
their product.
8. Snob Appeal
Snob Appeal is the opposite
of the bandwagon technique,
snob appeal makes the case
that using the product
means the consumer is
better/smarter/richer than
everyone else.
9. Transfer
Products are sold through
pictures of famous people,
but no words are given.
(Billboards, magazines,
newspapers)
