Use of Colerain Township’s Name, Image, and Likeness

Dear Ms. Davis,

I am writing on behalf of Colerain Township to address a matter of concern regarding the unauthorized
use of our township’s name, image, and likeness in a recent newsletter.

Upon review of “A community newsletter” which I understand you created, it has come to our attention
that you have utilized Colerain Township’s identity without proper authorization as detailed below:

We understand the importance of community engagement, but wish to emphasize the necessity of
obtaining consent before incorporating any elements associated with our township. As a result, we request
that you immediately cease and desist from using the name, image, and likeness of Colerain Township in
your “community newsletter” or any other communication materials as it misleads the public into
believing such communications have been made with the consent or on the part of the Township.

Failure to comply with this request may lead to legal action to protect the integrity and rights of Colerain
Township. We believe in fostering positive relationships within our community and are confident that
you will understand the importance of respecting intellectual property and local entities.
