Sketches of Fools and Simpletons

The Shaikh collected stories of fools and simpletons for three reasons: to provide recreation for the heart, teach lessons, and to distinguish fools from wise people. Allah created people of Jannah from His right side and people of Hell from His left to show His complete power and authority. It is not recommended to make people laugh by telling lies, backbiting, or insulting others. Foolishness involves minor mistakes while insanity involves more serious errors affecting rational thought. The document then provides various stories and examples to illustrate different types of foolishness and simpletons.
