Installation O365 Procedure

Prerequisites

1. Fill out request form for the Office 365


2. System Requirements:
a) At least Windows 10 Operating System
b) Browser: The current version of Microsoft Edge, Safari, Chrome, or Firefox
c) CPU: 1.6 GHz or faster, 2-core. 2 GHz or greater recommended
d) Memory: 8 GB RAM
e) Hard Disk: 50 GB of available disk space
f) Update Framework 4.6 and higher to also be installed.
3. Validate the corresponding license is assigned to the user. Check with the IT Manager.
4. Check what Office version is installed on the computer (32 or 64 bits version, English or
Spanish language) to install the version of O365. This can be viewed in add/remove
programs or in Office installation About Information.
5. Check what add-ins are installed in Excel so you can validate after the installation is still
running.
Open Excel, goto File>Options>Add-ins and check the active add-ins

6. Uninstall any local Office installation from the computer from Add/Remove Programs. As
well remove Microsoft Visio and/or Microsoft Project installation.
7. Install Office365 apps.
8. Reboot the computer.

Installation O365 Procedure

1. Goto http://portal.office.com/

portal.office.com
Office.com
2. Ensure you login with Ecom Trading email user account.

3. Logon with Ecom Trading email


4. Once is opened, click in “Other Install options” to install Office in other language and 32
or 64 bits version

Then click on “View apps & devices”

Select the language and version to install (32 or 64 bits)


Remember to get this information from previous installation on prerequisites

5. The Office installation file will be downloaded, open it.


6. Provide the Local Admin credentials or Domain admin credentials to perform the
installation.

7. Office installation starts

8. See the installation progress


9. At the end, notifications appears that Office is installed

10. Click on Close

11. Click on the Start button and see Office is installed.


12. Open Excel to continue configuration.

13. Once Excel is opened, a “Welcome to Office” window appears with the Ecom Trading
email address, click on Continue.

14. Click on Next


15. Type the password and click “Sign in”

16. UNCHECK the checkbox “Allow my organization to manage my device” and click Ok.
17. Click “Done”.
18. Accept the license Agreement

19. Click “Close”

20. Go back to http://portal.office.com/ and refresh the browser. See the applications
recently installed in the left bar.
Microsoft Teams Installation

After O365 Installation, reboot the computer so Microsoft Teams can be installed
automatically, when finished, you can logon typing your Ecom Trading email address
like in step 6.

In case you rebooted the computer and MS Teams has not been installed, goto below
steps to install it manually.

1. Download Microsoft Teams English or https://www.microsoft.com/en-ww/microsoft-

Download Microsoft Teams Spanish

2. Download Microsoft Teams for Work
3. Download the .exe file to the computer on Desktop

4. Install Microsoft Teams


5. Installation starts

6. Teams has been installed, sign in with Ecom Trading email address if needed
7. Microsoft Teams installation finished.

8. Check the Add-ins in Excel are working fine


Open Excel, goto File>Options>Add-ins and check the active add-ins
See Cognos and LaserFiche add-ins are working

See the menu that LaserFiche is available

For Cognos, see IBM Planning Analytics menu and click options
Click IBM and see is working

Click IBM Planning Analytics on the left and see links are available
For any issue on Cognos then you need to contact Prasanth Vasigala
[email protected] to reinstall Cognos.

9. If the user had Project and/or Visio 2016, please follow the Project 2016 and Visio
2016 Installation Method (Click to Run) Manual to install them.
