To prevent personnel injury due to any abnormal current surges which may
result from electrical malfunction, proper earthing has to be done.

Earthing Requirements
• It is recommended to use copper wire/strip for earthing connection as it has
high conductance and is also anti-corrosive.
• Earthing wire should be insulated copper wire (10 sq.mm).
• Earthing should be isolated from the earthing of electric discharging machine,
electrical welders and punch presses etc… Earth pits
• Ground resistance shall be below 100 ohms and earth neutral voltage should Machine #
