Barangay Francia, Iriga City, Camarines Sur for evaluation and proper disposition. The said
case was committed on or about 10:20 AM of January 19, 2024, while the victim/s Jonna
Mae y Estañol, 21 years old (May 1, 2002), single, resident of Zone 1 Barangay Francia,
Iriga City, Camarines Sur, and Roy Caspi y Escobal, 22 years old, single, resident also of
the said barangay. While she and her companion were talking near the house of the female
victim. An unidentified male individual unexpectedly showed up while she and her
companion were conversing outside the female victim's home. The male victim sustained
two gunshot wounds, while the female victim sustained one. Both victims were taken to
Villanueva-Tanchuling Medical Hospital in Iriga City for further treatment.

At about 10:20 a.m. of this date, the concerned citizen informed this office
through a cellular phone call that a shooting incident transpired at Zone 1 Barangay Francia,
Iriga City, Camarines Sur. Immediately team led by PLTCOL JOHN KENNETH LANIOG,
COP, proceeded to the reported place of incident and the initial investigation conducted
disclosed that on or about 10:20 am of January 19, 2024, the victim/s, Jonna Mae y Estañol,
21 years old (DOB: May 1, 2002), single and a resident of Zone 1, Barangay Francia, Iriga
City, and Roy y Escobal, 22 years old, single, resident also of the said barangay. While she
and her companion were talking near the house of the female victim,
An unidentified male individual unexpectedly showed up while she and her companion were
conversing outside the female victim's home. The male victim sustained two gunshot
wounds, while the female victim sustained one. No firearm evidence was obtained except for
the three (3) 9 mm fired cartridge case. Both victims were taken to Villanueva-Tanchuling
Medical Hospital in Iriga City for further treatment. In relation thereto, the medico-legal
report showed that Ms. Jonna Mae Estañol’s shoulder sustained one (1) perforated gunshot
wound (a fatal wound) and Mr. Roy Escobal’s chest sustained one (1) perforated gunshot
wound and one (1) on the intra abdominal vasculature. Due to those fatal wounds, they
suffered a fatal wound and were too late and were declared dead upon arrival.

On January 19, 2024, the victim/s was examined at Villanueva-Tanchuling Medical

Hospital. In relation thereto, the medico-legal report showed that Ms. Jonna Mae Estañol’s

chest sustained one (1) perforated gunshot wound and one (1) on the intra abdominal
vasculature. Due to those fatal wounds, they suffered a fatal wound and were too late and
were declared dead upon arrival.

On January 20, 2024, the suspect was examined at Villanueva-Tanchuling Medical

Hospital, based on the result the suspect the gunshot residue was present on him.
On February 1, 2024, they were given a certificate to file action coming from
Barangay Francia, Iriga City, and went to the police station to file a formal complaint against
the suspect.

I. MATTERS TO BE INVESTIGATED:

To determine the facts and circumstances surrounding the Shooting Incident that transpired
at Barangay Francia, Iriga City, Camarines Sur.

To determine other relevant matters relative to the incident that would require further police
actions:

I. FACTS OF THE CASE:

At about 10:20 a.m. on this date, the concerned citizen informed this office thru a
cellular phone call that a rape incident transpired at Zone 1 Barangay Francia, Iriga City,
Camarines Sur. Immediately team led by PLTCOL JOHN KENNETH LANIOG, COP,
proceeded to the reported place of incident and the initial investigation conducted disclosed

II. FINDINGS:

Based on the facts presented the suspect was identified as John Paul y
Bardonado, 24 years old, single, with a residence address at Zone 1, Barangay, Francia
Iriga City Camarines Sur. The suspect unexpectedly showed up while she and her
companion were conversing outside the female victim's home. The male victim sustained
two gunshot wounds, while the female victim sustained one.

I. CONCLUSION:

Based on the foregoing, the said incident is due to the suspect’s obsession
with the victim/s which caused serious gunshot wounds against the suspect.

JOINT AFFIDAVIT OF ARREST

I, Police Staff Sergeant (PSSG) Manny C. Lasprillas, of legal age, married, a

bonafide member of the Philippine National Police, and presently assigned at the Nabua
Municipal Police Station, Nabua, Camarines Sur, after having been duly sworn to in
accordance with the law, do hereby depose and say:

1. That, was duty from 8:00 AM of January 19, 2024 to 8:00 AM of January 20,
2024 at Iriga City Police Station located at Brgy. San Francisco of this municipality and
designated as Investigator;

2. That, at around 10:20 a.m. of this date, the concerned citizen informed this
office through a cellular phone call that a shooting incident transpired at Zone 1, Barangay
Francia, Iriga City, Camarines Sur, and the suspect identified as John Paul y Bardonado, 24
years old, single, resident of Zone 1 Barangay Francia Iriga City, Camarines Sur, killed,
Jonna Mae y Estañol, 21 years old, single and a resident of Zone 1, Barangay Francia, Iriga
City, and Roy y Escobal, 22 years old, single, resident also of the said barangay. Causing
the victim/s to sustained a serious gunshot wound/s. Upon receipt of the information, PNP
Personnel of this office led, PLTCOL JOHN KENNETH LANIOG, COP, proceeded to the
said place upon arrival thereat said team together with the said Brgy. Kagawad saw John
Paul y Bardonado in their house and arrested and obtained a 9 mm pistol firearm.

3. That, I apprised his constitutional rights to the dialect known by him;

That, I am executing this affidavit to attest to the truthfulness of the

foregoing and to support the filing of appropriate charges in court against the above-named
suspect.

Sona 1, Barangay Francia, Iriga City, Camarines Sur matapos manumpa ayon sa mga
umiiral na batas ay Malaya at kusang loob na nagsasalaysay ng mga sumusunod:

Na, naparito ako sa himpilan ng pulisya ng Nabua upang magsampa ng pormal na

reklamo laban kay John Paul Bardonado, nasa hustong gulang at nakatira sa Sona 1
Barangay Francia Iriga City, Cam Sur sa pag gahasa sa akin.

Na noong ika -19 ng January 2024 humigit kumulang 10:20 ng umaga habang ako ay
naglalakad pauwi galing palengke sa Sona 1, Barangay Francia Iriga City, Cam. Sur, may
isang lalaki na nakita di kalayuan sa bahay namin. Kitang kita ko sa akto kung paano niya
pambabarilin ang aking kapatid na si Jonna Mae Estañol at maging ang kasintahan ng
kapatid ko na si Roy Escobal. Matapos mag paputok ng tatlong ulit ay mabilis itong tumakbo
papalayo.
Kaya, sa puntong iyon gulat at takot man sa pangyayari ay mabilis akong tumawag sa
CPAC 1 station ng pulis sa Iriga City Police Station at humingi ako ng tulong. Matapos
dumating na ang mga Pulis at maging ang ambulancia ng CDRRMO upang dalhin ang
sugatang katawan at walang buhay kong kapatid at maging ng kasintahan.

Na, kung may nakaligtaan man akong sabihin sa hukuman ay saka ko na lamang
sasabihin ang mga ito:

Nakahanda po akong lagdaan ang salaysay na ito sa ilalim ng isang panunumpa

bilang patunay na ako ay hindi pinilit, sinaktan, tinakot o pinangakuan ng anuman bilang
kapalit ng salaysay kong ito,

the shoulder blades.
- The wound damages the myocardial free wall or
interventricular septum, which causes laceration of the
coronary arteries, and serious damage to the conduction
system.
- Due to the serious gunshot wound, it results in too much blood
loss which causes cardiac arrest.

SPECIMENS SUBMITTED:
1. One (1) fire cartridge case was recovered from the crime scene marked “CBC 17”
2.One (1) fire cartridge case was recovered from the crime scene marked “G.F.L.
9mm LUGER”
3. One (1) fired cartridge case was recovered from the crime scene marked “AP 13
9mm LUGER”

PURPOSE OF LABORATORY EXAMINATION:

Determine whether or not the three (3) specimens were discharged from one
firearm.
FINDINGS:
Preliminary examination of the three (3) bullets revealed that they have congruent
class characteristics– 9 mm, four (4) landmarks, and a right twist of rifling.
Microscopic comparison revealed that the two specimens possess matching
individual characteristics as manifested by the ballistic marks found in both bullets.
(See attached comparison photographs/charts of the specimens.)
CONCLUSION:
Specimen 1, specimen 2, and specimen 3 were all discharged from the same
firearm with 9 mm, four (4) lands, and right twist rifling.
REMARKS:
o Time and date completed -11 PM; January 20, 2024
o The three (3) specimens were released to SPO1 Dimple P. Arinque on
January 21, 2024.
o A search for the suspect firearm, most probably a pistol, must be conducted to
have a basis for establishing the particular gun where the bullets were fired.

portion under the heart blood flow resulting in a cardiac arrest.
