NOTICE FOR CLASS IX INTERDISCIPLINARY PROJECT

History Chapter : Forest, Society & Colonialism

Geography Chapter : Natural Vegetation & Wildlife

Students will integrate the chapter History and Geography to cover the following objectives.
OBJECTIVES

 To categorise different types of forest during colonial regime and at present.

 To devise ways to protect forest vegetation and wildlife in India.

 To defend the role of govt. and local communities in protecting the forest cover.

 To discuss the social and cultural world of forest communities through the study of various revolts.

 To analyse the different processes through which agrarian transformation may occur in modern
work in the forest & natural vegetation.

Topics to be covered by students under following heads

1. Acknowledgement
2. 2. Introduction
3. Evaluation of forest and Management in India
4. Types of forest during colonial period and present.
5. Significance of Forest.
6. Role of Govt. & people in protection and conservation measures of forest and wildlife in
India.
7. Conclusion
8. Photo gallery

Note: As part of multiple assessments & to be submitted on 12.02.2024


Note : Student will make a file containing 8-10 pages for writing and photo gallery or make a
ppt and present in the class and submit to class teacher.
