Mary was described as Mother of God because of the divinity of her son. In ordinary human
circumstances, our attributes are derived from what our parents have. What are your
significant characteristics and to whom do you attribute these? What traits did you get from
your mother? from your father?
Answer: Some of my characteristics are kind, generous, trustworthy and I got it from my
parents. Being trustworthy from my mom and being kind and generous from my dad.
LEARNING TASK 6
Mary was exempted from original sin because her Son is God. It was given to her by virtue of
being the mother of God. What have you given your parents that made them feel great?
Answer: Grandson, although it was earlier than expected they were glad to finally meet
him, and it was a blessing in disguise.

What do you think are the traits of Mary that we have to possess so that we may also be
worthy of God’s Kingdom? How can we nurture these traits?
Answer: For me, having a strong faith is enough to be worthy of God’s Kingdom, and we
can nurture it by believing and trusting God.
LEARNING TASK 8
Mary was a virgin and was chosen to become the mother of God. She will fully cooperate in
the grace of God. Can you imagine how difficult it is for her to become pregnant when she was
betrothed to Joseph, what would Joseph say? Will he accept it? Unmarried women during her
time are stoned to death for being pregnant.
Answer: It is indeed difficult for him to accept the situation at first, but Joseph will
realize that even if he does not accept it nothing will change because it was already there,
and it was meant to happen.
