Additional Fee of GBP 375 per Level is payable should you opt for the Dual Degree Award scheme with De Montfort
University, UK. This is payable upon commencement of each Level of Study. Non-payment at Commencement will result in
the student not being registered at the De Montfort University (DMU). Payment can be made either in GBP Cash or USD /
RM equivalent (at the prevailing exchange rate available at the APU/APIIT Cashier).

APPLICATION & PROCESSING FEES FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

(Not applicable to Online – Open & Distance Learning (ODL) Mode)

STAGE 1 RM 2,450 (approx. USD 600)* is payable when you have accepted the offer. The fees include Visa Processing
(Payable upon acceptance of offer) Fees by Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS), eVal (Electronic Visa Approval Letter) and i-Kad
(International Student Card issued by Immigration Malaysia) charged to ALL International students in Malaysia,
Student Pass Fees for one-year and APU/APIIT Application & Processing Fees. This i-Kad issued by Immigration
Malaysia will enable students to avoid having to carry their passports around for identification purposes and will
be tied to their Student Pass Validity and will be re-issued at visa renewal. This also entitles you for airport
assistance and transfer to the University and accommodation upon first arrival in Malaysia. Please note that this
Fee is non-refundable once the offer has been accepted.

STAGE 2 RM 1,000 (approx. USD 245)* is payable after your Student Pass is approved. The fees include Post-Arrival
(Payable upon Student Pass Visa Approval) EMGS Medical Check-up in Malaysia and Medical Insurance for a year. Please note that this Fee is
non-refundable once the Student Pass Visa Approval Letter (VAL) has been issued by EMGS.

Please note that International Students are not allowed to change the course of study, once the visa has been applied. International Students are required to
re-apply for a new Student Pass (Visa) should they decide to change the programme and is subject to Immigration approval.

MISCELLANEOUS FEES (Not applicable to Online – Open & Distance Learning (ODL) Mode)

International Student Registration & A fee of RM 4,800 (approx USD 1,170)* is payable as registration & administrative fee for International Students.
Administrative Fees The Fees includes Student ID Card Fee for the duration of the course.

Library Deposit (refundable) RM 500 (approx USD 120)* is payable for the use of library facilities and is refundable on completion of studies.

Engineering Laboratory Deposit RM 500 (approx USD 120)* is payable for the use of the Engineering laboratory facilities and is refundable on
(only for Engineering students - refundable) completion of studies.

Personal Bond A Personal Bond of RM 1,000 (approx USD 245)* is payable, which will be refunded on completion of studies.
The Personal Bond will not be refunded should any situation arise where the student is found to have either
misused their visa or violated any regulations applicable to International Students in Malaysia.
In the event where the University is required to intervene to assist students with Law Enforcement Agencies,
deduction will be made from the personal bond to recover cost of assisting.

Fee Refund Policy Please note that the Application, Processing, Registration & Administration Fees for International Students are
NON-REFUNDABLE once the offer has been accepted.

Course fee payments made are NON-REFUNDABLE except if the student visa is refused by EMGS/ Immigration. All
Fees paid are NON-REFUNDABLE under any circumstances once the visa is approved or after the student has
commenced studies at any level, including Intensive English, Diploma, Certificate, Foundation Programme and
Bachelor’s Degree Programmes. This includes students who do not qualify for enrolment into the course approved
in the Visa Approval Letter (VAL) due to not achieving the required English competency.

Annual Student Visa Renewal Annual Student Visa renewal inclusive of EMGS Processing Fee, i-Kad, Medical Insurance Premium and APU admin
fees costs between RM 930 (approx. USD 225)* to RM 1,260 (approx USD 310)* depending on the time of
submission and is payable 3 months before expiry of the student visa and upon submission of the student’s
application for extension with EMGS.
