E-Z View Graph for COMMANDbatch

The E-Z View Graph can display time-based information (i.e. mixer slump,
mixer power, mix temperature, air pressure, material temperature etc.) on a
continuous basis. A wide variety of values can be displayed, and configuration
can be changed at any time.
This graph is another step in the evolution of COMMANDbatch products to be
compatible with a variety of presentation devices including computer
monitors, mobile tablets, cell phones, etc.
The E-Z View Graph will be most often used to supplement the display of
information about the operation of plant mixers. Mixer icons on the Batch
Graphics form are still used for displaying the general operational state of the
mixers.
Data is shown from the time the graph is opened to the time it is closed.

The E-Z View Graph is displayed within the Google® Chrome® browser and
can be moved, minimized, resized, etc., like any web application. (Other
browsers may work, but compatibility is only assured with Chrome.)

Software Requirements
• COMMANDbatch V2016.3.x or later
• Windows 7 or Windows 10

• Google® Chrome® browser

Optional Hardware Configuration

E-Z View Graph shows data from COMMANDbatch provided hardware or from
Open Solution approved third party hardware.
If you do not have a COMMANDbatch system controller, you can use an Open
Solution hardware configuration. See the OpenSolution_HardwareList.pdf for
information on approved third party hardware.

Launching the E-Z View Graph

E-Z View can be opened from a Google Chrome browser or by right clicking on
a device on the Batch Graphics form in the COMMANDbatch.
• To open from Google Chrome, type http://{machinename} in the
address field and press Enter. Then select “Device Graph” from the
landing page.
{machinename} is the name of the COMMANDbatch PC
• To open from the Batch Graphics form in COMMANDbatch, right click on
the Mixer object and select “Event Graph”.

Note: If “Auto Load” at the top right of the graph is checked, the graph
will open to the size and position it had when it was last opened.

Mixer Power Monitoring / Auto Consistence Setup

Before you configure graph data from a device, you must have a Calibration
channel defined for the device to use.
1. On the Mixers form Control tab, set the:
a) Data Collection Type field to “Mixer Power”.

b) External Source field to the Calibration channel to be used for mixer

power consumption (example: Channel 1.4 might refer to the Manual
Station display for water).

3/21/18 7
2. Configure the Auto Consistence feature to generate the Power Target
values. (Refer to the “AutoConsist.pdf” which can be accessed by clicking
the “Manuals” button at the top of the COMMANDbatch main screen.)

General Purpose Inputs

To monitor other inputs, set up the input as an Extra Device with the
appropriate “Data Collection Type” and “External Source.”
Before you configure graph data from a device, you must have a Calibration
channel defined for the device to use.

1. On the Extra Devices form Control tab:

a) Enter a name and description for the device.
b) Set the Data Collection Type to “Add Material [Temper]”.
c) Set the External Source to the Calibration channel that the device
uses.

8 3/21/18
2. Access the graph for the device.
IF you want to access the graph THEN...
from...
Batch Graphics 1) Right-click on the Mixer.
2) Select Event Graph
3) Select the new device from the
Device drop-down on the E-Z View to
add it to the display.

Google® Chrome® browser 1) Open the browser.

2) Enter http://{machinename} in the
address field. {machinename} is the
name of the COMMANDbatch PC.
3) Select DEVICE GRAPH.
4) Select the new device from the
Device drop-down on the E-Z View to
add it to the display.

Mixer View
This view can be used for monitoring mixer power (with the COMMANDbatch
Auto Consistence feature), mix temperature, or both. The following screen
example is a typical representation for monitoring mixer power.

Device Name
The name of the device being monitored.

Load Queue
The operator can review the history of any load in the queue. This information
is only available as long as the browser is open. Closing and reopening the
browser removes loads from the queue.

Device Status
Current state of the device being monitored.

Mix Time Specified by Mix *

* If no Mix Time is specified in the mix design, this
value comes from the COMMANDbatch Mixers form.

Real Time Display

This view shows the Power Target. (To see this line, Auto Consistence must be
set up as described in the AutoConsistence.pdf or the online help.)
A tracking bar at the bottom of the Real Time Display shows when it is
tracking. The width of the tracking bar and the active real time portion are
configurable.

3/21/18 11
Load Start/End Indicators
The green vertical bar indicates the start of a batch. The red vertical bar
indicates the end of a batch. In continuous operation these lines will be very
close to each other.

Graph Settings
Click on the gear icon to bring up the Graph Settings dialog shown next.

General
In this section, you can set graph and viewing area durations.

Current Devices
• The “Property” field allows one of the following types of information to be
displayed. (‘Value’ is selected in our example.)

12 3/21/18
• Click the IO checkbox “On” to show IO changes.
• Click the box left of the “X” to change the color for the real time line.

Input/Output Indicators
Icons are used to show the change of state for the I/O points associated with
the Mixer. These I/O points are monitored so that if the operator intervenes
the event is captured.

Note: The Mixer Hold icons are shaped like stop signs (8 sides) to
distinguish them from the Mixer Open/Tilt Input icons which are
circles.

Mixer Monitoring Example

The following screen examples show the state of the Mixer as a load travels
through it to the truck. Note that there is a hover function to show details.
