Their capitals are | Karachi. Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta respectively. Capital City: The capital city of Pakistan is Islamabad. There is a federally administered tribal area (FATA). Position of Provinces: ‘There are four provinces and tederal territories in Pakistan. Punjab is the biggest province, according to population. Balochitan. the biggest as far as the area is concemed. Sindh, a gateway to Islam. Khyber Pukhtoon Khwa, full of natural beauty and high mountains. Importance of the Location at Early Stages: Pakistan's geographical location is very important. Since the time of its establishment, it has in its neibghbourhood, two biz powers, the soviet Union and China. Independent Muslim States: __ Soviet Union broke up in 1991 into fifteen (15) independent states. Out of these 15. independent states, the six Central Asian Muslim States are Uzbekistan. In this way from Indus valley to Atlantic Ocean, there lies a block of Muslim countries. Close to the east, there is Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Hence, Pakistan enjoys a central position in the Muslim world. Therefore. Pakistan can solve the political issues of the Muslim countries. Trade Relations with China: The Karakoram highway connects China and Pakistan. This highway is an important trade route between Pakistan and China. Relations with Central Asian Countries: In the west of China, a narrow strip “Wakhan” of Afghanistan territory separates Pakistan's border from Tajikistan. Pakistan has developed close friendly relations with central Asian countries. . Relations with Eastern Countries: India lies in the east of Pakistan. Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei Danis-Salam Lie in the east of India. Pakistan enjoys very good relations with these countries. Conclusion: Pakistan is the Jand of many splendours. The scenery changes northward from coastal beaches, lagoons and mangrove swamps In the soutb to sandy deserts, desolate pleateaus, fertile plains, dissected upland in the middle and high mountains with beautiful valleys, snow-capped peaks and huge glaciers in the north.
