Plan International Nigeria
Gender Advisor December 2023 to Date
 Lead the capacity building and knowledge management on gender equality and empowerment
of women and girls.
 Provide strategic advice to MYRP steering committee for the integration of gender into
education in emergency activities.
 Serve as quality assurance in MYRP implementation ensuring gender issues are properly
addressed.
 Work directly with the Project Manager and the MYRP task force involved in the consortium.
 Collaborate with the Gender Advisor at SCI to provide technical support to all ECW and MYRP
partners in the area of conducting gender analysis and gender-responsive training and
mainstreaming into education.
 Technically support all the MYRP partners with skills, capacity building, and mentoring for the

 Lead the implementation of gender-transformative approaches with all ECW projects including

Gender Equality strategy for the EiC project.

Project Officer-Gender Based Violence
 Worked with Case Workers to provide survivor-centered case management support to survivors
of GBV
 Trained Caseworkers in case management, GBV guidelines, and GBV/protection standard
practices in emergencies
 Trained community structures such as stakeholders, community-based protection committees
on gender equality and inclusion, gender-based violence, referral pathway, and sexual
reproductive health rights
 Worked with Community stakeholders like the community-based protection committees to
ensure community-based protection mechanisms are in place and functional
 Trained community volunteers in GBV programming guidelines for GBV prevention and
response
 Provided supports to the project coordinator to ensure projects are adequately implemented
 Conducted gender assessments, focused group discussions with community men, women, boys,
and girls in ensuring effective and timely program implementation.

Family Health International (FHI 360) September 2017-May 2018

 In coordination with beneficiaries and community leaders, identified suitable locations for
setting up safe spaces in the assigned community
 In collaboration with women and girls identified culturally sensitive skills acquisition and social
activities and coordinate the implementation of these activities to promote social cohesion

 Conducted regular training for community volunteers and weekly on the job training for
community volunteers
 Compiled weekly and monthly community outreach and group psychosocial support activities as

 Organized and implemented major campaigns during celebrations of International Women’s
Day, Day of the African Child, International Day of the Girl Child, and 16 days of Activism among
others.
