Kyu ho-
Nagi Taoshi- Uke in seigan no kamae, tori in any kamae. Tori attacks uke using hidari do
cut (from right to left) and then migi do (cut from left to right).

Tsuri Age·Sukui Age·suri age- Uke in daijodan no kamae, tori in Yoko Ichimonji no
Kamae. Uke attacks, tori steps back with left leg and cuts upwards under uke's left arm
going across chest to the right arm and then tori cuts under uke's right armpit upwards.

Note- Tori can attack other side as well with this technique. Tori can also when cutting
keep to one side of uke's body and then when cutting again keeping to the other side of
uke's body.

Batto·Hataki Taoshi- Uke in seigan no kamae, tori in Hasso no Kamae. Tori cuts uke’s
kote (hands or wrist), then tori cuts uke’s lower right leg (outside) and then tori uses a
large movement and cuts uke’s left side of the neck.

2nd version- Uke is in daijodan, tori is in hasso no kamae. Tori cuts downward under
uke’s left arm towards uke’s stomach. Then tori cuts to ukes left lower leg (inside), and
then tori cuts downward towards uke’s head.

Ashi Barai- Uke in daijodan no kamae, tori in Hira Ichimonji no Kamae. Uke cuts at tori.
Tori evades and blocks the cut as per rokushaku Bojutsu, then tori drops to left knee and
cuts at uke’s right thigh with a downward cut, then tori cuts to uke’s left thigh.

Hane Taoshi- Uke is in seigan no kamae, tori is in seigan no kamae. Tori opens his right
side to attack. Uke cuts at tori. Tori steps back with left foot. Tori then cuts upwards to
uke’s kote (uke’s left arm and wrist), tori then cuts to uke’s right side of the neck and
then cuts to uke’s left side of the neck.

Kuri Dashi- Uke in daijodan no kamae, tori in naka seigan no kamae. Tori brings
naginata blade to point at uke’s hands, tori then moves left by stepping back with his left
foot. Uke goes to cut tori. Tori immediately cuts to uke’s left side of the stomach across
to uke’s right stomach. Tori then cuts to uke’s right side of the stomach (two Do cuts, one
after another).

Zen-go Nagi/zango nagi- (For when tori has ukes from the front and behind himself).
Uke’s are both in seigan no kamae, tori is in hasso no kamae. Tori cuts to front uke with a
left head cut to uke and then performs a right head cut to uke. As the uke from behind
moves to attack tori, tori finishes the left head cut to the front uke and then follows the
cut around to the uke in the rear and cuts to uke’s right side of the head. Tori then cuts to
uke with a left head cut and then repeats the same combination of cuts once more.
(Method for fighting against multiple opponents from the front and behind.)

Sashi Chigai- Uke is in daijodan no kamae, tori is in hira ichimonji no kamae. Tori then
turns the naginata sideways and thrusts at uke’s throat (tsuki), then tori cuts to ukes left
leg (outside, knee area). Then tori attacks again using the same combination, tsuki to
uke’s throat and the cut to uke’s left knee again. (Note- when thrusting towards uke’s
throat, turn the naginata blade sideways.)

Tobi Kiri- Uke in seigan no kamae, tori in hasso no kamae. Tori leaps in all at once and
cuts to uke’s left stomach (Do cut), then tori immediately leaps and cuts to uke’s right
stomach and repeats the same combination of cut attacks against uke again.
