STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The desire to learn can instigate an individual to achieve heights of excellence. With this in
mind, my affinity for technology and computers have empowered me to pursue my craving
for excellence through continuous learning of new technologies. With the emergence of
digital transformation trends in the contemporary era where they are surrounded and
supported by technologies, the domain of data science has established its presence as a
dominant trait. Earnestness, inquisitiveness, and retentiveness are the anchors that have been
driving me to achieve my goals. This inherent perspective has relentlessly drawn my attention
towards core technologies combined with my desire to dig deeper into the working of various
applications. I believe that a Master's degree in Data Science from Northumbria University is
the most suitable program that could help me pursue my dreams in my career.

With the desire to nurture and instil the computer science person in me, I decided to further
progress with the subject domain to gain immense knowledge about technology. During my
secondary school education at Sree Sarada School, Guntur, I never discounted away from
carrying out my academic obligations. My reverence for education and propensity towards
applied science drove me to go for Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry diploma at Govt.
Polytechnic College, Ponnur. With my prodigious interest in software and computers, I opted
to study under-graduation in Computer Science and Engineering at Vasireddy Venkatadri
Institute of Technology. Because of my natural affinity for computers and coding, as well as
my strong programming background, I excelled in Data Structures, Algorithms, and Network
Programming classes. During my academic career, I never prohibited myself from engaging
in extracurricular activities since I believe that academic life and leisure must be properly
balanced for maximum psychological growth. Being a school pupil leader, I always tried to
cosset myself in internal competitions organized at school and guide my team towards
triumph and acquired the best cultural participant award for the year two thousand and
fourteen. Organising QUIZZY WIZ, an event as a part of the technical fest conducted at our
college, I gained leadership, team management, and communication skills. The participation
in the NATIONAL INTEGRITY WALK also called DARGA-TO-DURGA walk which can
be organized by my college every year in remembrance of Swami Vivekananda’s birth
anniversary gave me immense pleasure and happiness.

I vigorously trust practical education, as it’s the unique system to retain knowledge is to
appeal it in solving real-time problems. True to these beliefs, I set up developing projects
with the knowledge I gained. Firstly, the CUSTOMER BILLING SYSTEM, implemented in
C language during my second year of B.Tech. Although it is a simple C program, the
completion of this project has demonstrated my programming abilities and heightened my
enthusiasm for coding. Later, I completed the Web Technologies course as a scrap of the
educational program and assimilated concepts like HTML, CSS, JAVASCRIPT, and
BOOTSTRAP. By making use of these technologies, I implemented both static and dynamic
websites. One among them is the website which is the front end for a project DERIVE AT
PRODUCTIVITY EFFICIENCY. This is a web application to alert you to the areas where
some delays and bottlenecks impact productivity. Participating in Smart India Hackathon
(SIH) in Shri Venkateshwara College of Engineering, Bangalore, I headed the team and
submitted the theoretical presentation in the Samadhan portal, and bagged a runner up
position as a team leader. My major project, DATA AGGREGATION through IoT, was
about aggregated data through a Tree-Based Mechanism, in which sensor nodes are
structured into a tree, data aggregation is conducted at intermediate nodes, and aggregated
data is transferred to the root node, in my final year of graduation. Working on the projects
gave me important experience by helping me understand the changing and developing nature
of the business sector and how to cope with the advancing technology and I am grateful for
the in-depth information I gained.

Compelled by the development in the realm of data science, I wish to pursue a master’s
degree in the domain while learning about its concepts and functionalities. I choose to
continue my education in the United Kingdom for its high-quality education, unique
curriculum, abundant opportunity, and multicultural environment. I have discovered that
Northumbria University would be an ideal place where I can pursue my dream career with a
Rank of forty-one according to the guardian university rankings. With the opportunity to
explore a global outlook on the industry while learning from expert faculty members, I found
the course structure to be highly viable and affordable for me. The University stands top ten
in the UK for the number of graduates entering professional employment and nine out of ten
graduates are working or studying six months after graduation. I am affirmative that pursuing
the master's program in data science from this institution would aid me in accumulating
scholarly acumen and help me gain insights connected to advanced technologies such as AI,
human-data interaction, as well as data science. Summarising my introduction, I would like to
thank the admission faculty for offering me the opportunity to present myself for admission
to your esteemed institution. I hereby put my candidature for the master's program in
