The Disciple Thomas
The disciple Thomas is a familiar Biblical character because of a specific incident
involving his disbelief. (John 20). Jesus had just risen from the dead and the rest of the
disciples were elated after seeing him. Thomas had not yet seen Jesus after His
resurrection and he was adamant that what his friends had witnessed couldn t be true.
Nevertheless, he did have a certain curiosity and willingly stayed with his friends in
hopes of seeing what they saw. He just could not bring himself to believe that Jesushad
truly risen from the dead. He would not believe without beholding the Christ before
his own eyes and touching his wounds with his own hands. Thomas let his fear,
anxiety, and what seemed like logic take hold of him, and he had a hard time letting it
all go. He needed proof to justify what God had told him long ahead of time would
happen. Thomas learned a great lesson the day that Jesus appeared in the upper room
before all of his disciples. He was told by his Master that he would have been more
blessed if he had only believed what he could not see. As soon as Thomas felt Jesus
wounds and saw him, he declared, My Lord and my God (John 20.28). He was still
greatly blessed, but not in the wonderful way that God wanted him to be. What an
important lesson for the Christian to learn;when God says something, he means it and
he doesn t intend to break his promise. Despite his doubt, Thomas was chosen by Jesus
for a reason and Jesus told him this himself in John 15.16. He

Heroin Rising If one traveled through the small quiet community of Monroe, MI you
would probably never think that this town has a drug problem. From the outside it
seems like a nice middle class suburb that might be ideal to raise a family. For those that
reside here however, they know that there is a growing problem. There aren t many
families that haven t been affected by heroin addiction in this small town. The drug has
literally swept through this county like an angry mob of rioters bringing crime, death,
and destruction with it, leaving many people in the community asking, Why?
An article posted in the Monroe Evening News on July 2, 2013 stated:

Facing both the mental and physical effects, they will generally do anything they have
to do to acquire their next fix. I interviewed 5 recovering addicts in the Monroe area
who are all in a program of recovery now but did not wish to have their names
mentioned. One of the female interviewees stated, When you re going through
withdrawals from heroin, your whole existence is revolved around how you re going
to get your next fix. I would do anything to achieve that goal, whether it be steeling
from friends, family, stores, or even selling my body if I became desperate enough. She
claims, Looking back now, it s hard for me to believe that was me. That s something I
never would have even thought about doing just a few short years before my addiction
began. They all said that their opiate addiction actually started with prescription pain
killers, 4 of them said they took some Vicodin they had found in a family members or
parents home, and the fifth stated that he was prescribed Vicodin at the age of 13 when
he broke his arm. They all agreed that they never meant to become addicted but couldn t
resist the warm, calming, euphoria that the drug produced. Not knowing how addictive
the pain medications could be, they all continued taking Vicodin until they were hooked.
One gentleman stated It was all downhill from there. One day I ran out of the
medication after a couple weeks of taking it and I felt awful.
Monroe was greatly affected by this in the case
A Transforming Experience At My Leadership Journey Essay
SLP: A Transforming Experience in My Leadership Journey According Clavel (1988),
Sun Tzu wrote, If you know the enemy and you know yourself, you need not fear the
result of a hundred battles (p. 2). Leading a schools division is fighting battles against
the enemy, and most often, against one s self. The position of a superintendent goes
with exposure to the rudiments of the job: from planning, strengthening linkages, wise
use of resources, innovating, to the trying times of a keen sense of self and existence.
I can say that I can better conquer any challenge that come my way. And my
attendance to the Superintendent Leadership Program in Antipolo gave me the
necessary weapons of knowing the enemy and myself. This paper will present the
transformation that occurred in my personal and professional life as a leader, the
leadership paradigms which brought effect to such transformation and changes in
leadership styles that occurred as a result of my attendance to the SLP. It will also
discuss my own theory and principle in leadership that I have developed as I went
through the SLP. ON APPRECIATIVE INQUIRY One of the first concepts that we
learned in SLP is the concept on Appreciative Inquiry. This fully affirmative and
inquiry based process for change and transformation developed by David Cooperrider
and his colleagues at Case Western Reserve University from Page 1 of 14 1980 1986.

Nowhere To Go Fisher Addendum Analysis
Nowhere to Go Fisher Addendum After four years, Mr. Yu was finally transferred to a
rehab facility after the government certified him as a permanent resident and qualified
him for medical benefits. Is this fair that he qualified for benefits after never paying
into the U.S. tax system? It is not verified that Mr. Yu never paid into the U.S. tax
system. Mr. Yu was brought to the hospital by his boss, this clearly illustrates that Mr.
Yu was employed, however, it is not clear if his employer was paying him legally or
under the table. An analysis of all fifty states in 2012 revealed that undocumented
immigrants actually paid between $90 and $140 billion in federal, state, and local taxes
(Anchondo, 2010), therefore, it cannot be assumed with
Characteristics Of Prophet Muhammad SAW
Prophet Muhammad Presentation
Noor Mohamed
12/29/17

Assalamualaikum, my name is Noor Mohamed and I will be talking about the greatest
creation of Allah, Prophet Muhammad SAW. And this is not just coming out of my
mouth. Allah told Prophet Muhammad SAW You are not only my greatest prophet, You
are not only my greatest messenger, But you O Muhammad are the greatest creation I
have ever created. Also when Allah mentions the other prophets in the Quran, he just
said the Prophet s names. But when Allah mentions Prophet Muhammad s name SAW, he
sometimes says ‫ ﻣﺤﻤﺪ رﺳﻮل‬which means Muhammad SAW is the Messenger. In Surat Al
Fath, verse 29 it says ‫ﻣﺤﻤﺪ رﺳﻮل‬. Prophet Muhammad SAW is my role model and should

They all wanted to have the honor of moving the Stone in the right place. Prophet
Muhammad SAW solved this problem. They put the Black Stone in the middle of the
cloth each person carried one corner of the cloth and put it in the right place. Prophet
Muhammad SAW was fair because he let everybody who wanted to carry the Black
Stone, carry it and put it in the right place.

Prophet Muhammad SAW is also very brave. One day there was a big bang in
Madinah. A rock hit from the sky. This was in the middle of the night and for the
people living there, this was scary because they never heard of big bangs. But Prophet
Muhammad SAW being the brave man that he is, went riding on a horse without a
saddle to see what had happened. He came back and told the people that everything was
ok.

Prophet Muhammad SAW was VERY trustworthy. One day people from his village went
to his house to kill him (because they hated his message). When they entered his home to
kill him, they found Prophet Muhammad SAW cousin, Ali RA. Prophet Muhammad
SAW left Ali RA when he escaped for one reason and one reason only. To give those
people their valuables and money back. But they never thought to go to Prophet
Muhammad SAW and tell him to give them their money back because they trusted him
and because they knew he was the most trustworthy person in Mecca.

Prophet Muhammad SAW is my role model because of all of his characteristics, but one

Corporate Control In Brave New World
CORPORATE CONTROL Corporate control is when one large corporation controls
society through products, advertising, and/or the media. There is no part where the
author talks about real humans (live the way people used to live in their past) in this
book except when Bernard and Lenina went to the reservation. There Lenina freaks
out when she sees a really old man. She asks Bernard why he is like that and why the
director and other old people in the London don t look old. Then Bernard explains, That
s because we don t allow them to be like that. We preserve them from diseases. We keep
their internal secretions artificially balanced at youthful equilibrium. (Huxley 99) This
quote is an example of corporate control because the people of central London hatchery

They use sleep teaching as their tool to convey information to children, typically by
playing a sound recording to them while they sleep. ...All wear green, and delta
children wear khaki. Oh no, I don t want to play with delta children. And epsilons are
still worse. They re so stupid to be able to read or write. Besides, they wear black,
which is such a beastly color. I m so glad that I m a beta. They use sleep teaching to
make children love their caste/identity. While awake, the individual will repeat these
words automatically and behave however the controllers want them to behave. Another
example of propaganda in this book is giving an electric shock to the children. Yes,
they do this. Low caste children(Gammas, Deltas, and Epsilons) are not allowed to like
nature and books because then they will waste more time in nature and reading books
than working. So they put low caste eight months old babies in front of flowers and
book and when they go for it and touch them, they get a mild electric shock . After that
they will hate the flowers and
Mother To Son Extended Metaphor
The entire poem, Mother to Son, by Langston Hughes is an extended metaphor. The
unstated comparison is between a set of stairs that are by no means crystal and life. The
crystal stairs in the poem are likely for the privileged or rich, while the poor make due
with what they have. Even though the road is rough for the mother, she urges the son For
I se still goin , honey, I se still climbin , even after a long journey the mother continues
to climb, so the young son should too. The stair metaphor could also help the son
understand that this is just a step in life, or stage. Eventually the son will go to the next
step which will present a different challenge than the previous one. For some stairs had
