Essay On Shooting

Writing an essay on the topic of "Shooting" can be a challenging endeavor, as it requires a delicate
balance between discussing a sensitive subject and maintaining a thoughtful, informative, and
unbiased tone. Addressing the various aspects of shooting, whether in the context of sports,
photography, or the more serious and somber subject of gun violence, demands a nuanced approach.

The complexity arises from the need to navigate through potentially controversial themes, emotional
responses, and varying perspectives on the matter. One must carefully research and present facts,
statistics, and historical context to provide a comprehensive understanding of the subject. Moreover,
crafting a well-structured and coherent essay involves addressing the different facets of shooting
while keeping the reader engaged and focused on the central theme.

Approaching the topic with empathy and respect for diverse opinions is crucial, especially when
discussing the more sensitive aspects of gun violence. The essay must steer clear of sensationalism
and strive for an objective analysis that encourages critical thinking and open dialogue.

Moreover, finding a unique angle or perspective to make the essay stand out can be challenging,
considering the multitude of existing discussions on the topic. This requires creativity and the ability
to present well-researched information in an engaging manner.

In conclusion, writing an essay on the topic of shooting is no simple task. It demands a careful
selection of words, thorough research, and a nuanced understanding of the subject matter. A
successful essay should inform, provoke thought, and encourage meaningful conversations while
respecting the sensitivity of the topic.

The Sand Creek Massacre By John Smith
Sand Creek Massacre The Sand Creek Massacre was one of the most defenseless and
uncivilized massacres. The author of John Smith s testimony prepared this document to
shine light on the truth of the Sand Creek massacre. The massacre occurred on November
29th, 1864. Although there is no known number of casualties, it is estimated that around
two hundred Cheyenneand Arapahoe Indians were killed during this event. There are
many different stories told about the events that took place. It is with reason to believe
that John Smith s testimony proves to be the most accurate. Although the author of John
Smith s testimony is unknown, it seems that the author is possibly a government official
who is trying to figure out what happened for the... Show more content on

In the interview, the interviewer never follows up on the question Were the women and
children that were killed, killed during the fight with the Indians? This question was
asked but never truly answered; leaving it to speculation. The interviewer asks John
Smith when he last talked with Col. Chivington; John replied with that he talked with
Chivington the very same day of the attack. This source holds the most weight truthfully
because it is a sworn testimony of one of the soldiers at Fort Lyon who had been present
on the day of the attack. The logic proves credible

replies Yes sir; I saw them fall The secondary source chose was Colorado A History of
the Centennial State. This source states On August 10, 1864, Denver s Rocky Mountain
News called for a few months of active extermination against the red devils. This supports
that the Rocky Mountain News is biased towards Col. Chivington. This quote tells us
that the Rocky Mountain News supports the United States troops and they don t seem to
care that they re telling us this.
The author claims that Evans capitalized on the Hungates deaths quickly to get federal
consent to recruit a third regiment of Colorado volunteers. Black Kettle and other big
Cheyenne and Arapahoe leaders met with Col. Chivington and Col. Evans in Denver in
September of 1864. The purpose of this meeting was to
Observation Of A Soccer Field In Elementary School
Observation #1 For my first observation I observed my four year old nephew s soccer
practice at an elementary school which lasted about a half an hour. They met on the
empty field at the elementary school, there were about 3 other teams practicing at the
same time but everyone was spread out. The coaches set up cones and pop up goals
for the children. There were about 12 15 children there, I think they said a few kids
weren t there. There were about four coaches or helpers working with the children.
The first thing they did with the kids was a few warm up activities, the first being
some sort of running activity where the children ran around following the coaches,
next, they hopped in place being silly. Then the kids each got a ball and began a kicking
exercise were the had to go around and try to kickthe ball at the cones and knock them
down. Then the kids got in a line with their ball and followed the leader around while
dribbling the ball with both feet. In the next activity, the children got to practice
kicking a stationary ball into the goal. After that, they played a 7 min practice game.
At this point, many of the children were in the pre control level of proficiency because
for most it is their first time playing soccer and I could definitely tell. There might have
been a few activities where some children where at control level but it was very
minimal. For example, during the kicking exercise, it was very hard for the kids to
control where their ball was going.

Viking Women Vs Medieval Women
Viking women were valuable and respected members of society.

Although their roles were mostly domestic, women were very skilled and capable in
other aspects of daily life. Their jobs and skills included:
Gathering, preparing and preserving food.
Gardening and managing stock levels.
Making clothes by spinning, weaving and sewing.
Cleaning
Preparing medicines to keep the family healthy and tend to the ill.

While the men were away from home exploring, raiding, trading or fishing the women
took over much of their work including management of the farm.

Viking women were married around age 15 16. Most marriages were arranged. They
were chosen by both families. Some women were married as early as age 12 and
nearly all by age 20. Once married Viking women were kept in charge of the family
finances including farm stocks and precious metals. They held the key to the family ...

They had the right to own land, inherit and divorce. A woman could divorce her husband
if he mistreated her or the children or did not provide for the family. Anything she
brought into the marriage remained her property.

Women were well protected. Unwanted physical attention from a man could result in the
man being fined or more serious punishment. It was shameful for a man to harm a
woman.

Even though the women had rights and were well respected there was things they were
not allowed to do. They were not to cut their hair short or dress like men. They had no
say or vote at public meetings or Things.

Women wore underdresses made of linen or flax and woollen overdresses like aprons
with straps fastened by decorative brooches. Over the dresses and aprons she wore
cloaks or shawls made of wool. Their shoes were made of leather. They had long hair and
usually wore scarves.

There is some evidence to suggest that some women were warriors. They were referred
to in Scandinavian folklore and mythology as
The Case Of 1984
Conceived Onika Tanya Maraj on December 8, 1984, in Saint James, Trinidad, Minaj
is of blended African, Caribbean, and South Asian history. She spent her younger
years in Trinidad, moving to the United States when she was five years of age to settle
with her parents in South Jamaica, Queens. There her mom functioned as a medical
caretaker s aide, attempting to take care of the family on her $200 every week. Her
dad drank vigorously and did drugs, taking cash and robing his own family to fuel his
addiction. In some cases his activities had more compelling results. At the point when
Minaj was a tyke her dad attempted to torch the family s home in an unsuccessful
endeavor to murder her mom. I ve generally had this female giving force... Show more

Sexual Assault At Southern Oregon University
INTRODUCTION
Late November of 2014, many students at Southern Oregon University are starting to
get ready for Thanksgiving, finals, and Winter Break. However, during this time, my
life was forever changed. In 2014 I was raped, twice, by someone I thought was my
friend, someone I trusted, someone who I had even had consensual sex with once
before. Sometime during the night, I can no longer remember certain details, my
attacker got on top of me as I was doing homework and started to forcefully take off my
clothes, trying to entice me into having sex. He then forced himself inside me and
raped me. It took me four months before I had realized that I had been raped and that he
had terrified me enough to stay with him for a week after the first attack to rape me one
more time. After what had happened I didn t report the attacks until seven months after
the attack, I did not know enough information about him for the police to do anything
other than taking a formal written and oral statement.
My case is similar to many other sexual assault survivors, but there are a few cases
every year that do end up in a criminal court and have a conviction. January 18, 2015, a
young woman, who has asked to remain anonymous, woke up in a hospital with the news
that two men had found her unconscious and another man on top of her, sexually
assaulting her (Sanchez). The assaulter, later identified as Brock Turner, had also been to
the same party that night as the survivor and her sister. Almost a
