However, at the end of 2016, LG Electronics merged its german branch (situated in

electronics are qualified people. However, since LG is one of the greatest company of
the world, I expected to see CV s which are full of past experiences at different
companies or at different sectors. Although it gives some sense of family company, we
see that the BoD are not traditionally organized at all. On the other hand, BoD seems
very nationalist, I would have expected to see some foreign directors at an international
company. I do not have much information about the effects of board members on the
operations of companies. However, since the grandson of the founder of the company is
on the board, it is not surprising that BoD has a huge effect on the operations. 5

Sharffen Berger
Sharffen Berger s competed in the 1.2 billion premium segment with other high end
European chocolate brands such as Godiva, Valrhona and Ghirardelli/Lindt. The higher
competitors in the market, the higher the cost of production capacity reducing the
consumer demand causing less profitability for the company and their shareholders.
The Economies of Scale in the chocolate industry is high due to the increase of output
of existing chocolate companies that will lower the cost of the cacao production. New
entrants in order to compete, they need to produce more in a lower cost possible
compared to the actual industries. This may not only be the barriers to entry, but also
companies such as Sharffen Berger s or Godiva, they have a high number of customer
loyalty due to their brand names, product quality and reputation that may require new

The Alberta government approved the funding for the construction of the new school,
Mary Bergeron Elementary. This not only created a safer and more modern update for
the young students in our community, but helped to create more employment in the
downturn of the economy, stated Chouinard.
Groundbreaking of the new Parkland Lodge was another innovation for the betterment
of Edson s senior citizens. The new lodge will be more modern and comfortable for
Edson seniors with a projected 102 room capacity. Seniors will be able to enjoy privacy
by occupying their own room, unless sharing with a spouse. Completion of the senior s
lodge is being planned for July, 2018.
Through tightening of the budget, Edson residents were able to enjoy no increase of
their 2017 property taxes. This was accomplished by streamlining and cutting costs while
still maintaining a fully operational budget.
Lobbying for the certification of the Town of Edson airport was another initiative
Chouinard helped to implement. Future planning could one day see Edson on the map as
a functional airport for Edson and surrounding areas. Business transport will also increase
the town s viability for tourism to maintain its prosperity, said Chouinard.
Chouinard was asked of his long term goals running in this election, and if elected, what
would those goals be? His reply was that he would be working towards a safer
Vincent Van Gogh Research Paper
I chose Vincent Van Gogh because he was not only a great artist, but a tortured soul as
well. The 19th century painter Vincent Van Gogh is almost as famous for his mental
instability as for his vivid paintings. Van Gogh knew how to use the brush just so as to
display his feeling for all to see, though it may not have been adequately understood
much less well received at the time. Vincent Van Goghwas born in the Netherlandsin
1853, a year after his mother had given birth to a stillborn child to which a year later,
the same name was given to Vincent. He would pass the grave of his brother with the
headstone which bore his name, how s that for depressing! He felt rejected his entire life
of thirty seven short years, by his mother, his friend... Show more content on

His mood only got worse because nobody wanted to buy his paintings due to the fact
that his paintings lacked that certain flair or pizzazz that would later be developed.
His favorite thing to do each morning was to go out into the field and paint whatever
he saw, he had an uncanny way of putting feeling behind his paintings so that the
person looking at it was able to get the feel of the painting. I think it was always a
shame that Van Gogh was never appreciated in life as he was in death, and his work
was never appreciated either. It was said that his mother never truly appreciated him
even when he was deemed a genius, she had her own demons though and it was
impossible for him to live up to the assumed greatness of his stillborn brother, for which
he was named.
In 1886, he went to Paris to join his brother Theo, the manager of Gopil s gallery in
Paris, van Gough studied with Cormon inevitably met Pissarro, Monet, and Gauguin. He
was so taken with these new impressionist painters, he tried to copy what they did but
was unsuccessful. He saw, in Paris, new ideas never thought of before and started
lightening his dark shades and thus, developed a bolder, unconventional, and truly unique
style. Though he had changed his style, Van Gogh was still not selling any work which
drew him even more into depression as
