works for the collective benefit of the society as a whole.

charitable activities allowed me to directly contribute to improving the lives of those in need and
it was very fulfilling.

providing essential services and resources to marginalized communities. By working in such
organizations, I was a part of the process of empowering these communities and promoting their
overall well-being.

connections and partnerships with like-minded professionals, organizations, and experts in the
field. This can provide opportunities for learning, collaboration, and professional growth.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
During my internship at Annashesh Welfare Society, I had the opportunity to work on various
projects and contribute to their mission of providing assistance and support to underprivileged
communities. One of the primary tasks assigned to me was to involve in the organization's
education programs. This included assisting in coordinating after-school programs and providing
academic support to children from low-income families. I collaborated with teachers to develop
lesson plans, conducted interactive learning sessions, and facilitated extracurricular activities.
Being able to witness the enthusiasm and progress of these young learners was immensely
gratifying, and it reinforced the importance of educational opportunities in breaking the cycle of
poverty. This was done in order to achieve the goal of making the students academically oriented
and enhancing their thinking power and other skills such as reading, writing translating, etc.
Besides academics, I also engaged with the children in numerous extra-curricular activities such
as Art&Craft, Music, Garba teaching, sports and simple games which were necessary for the
purpose of achieving holistic development of the children there.
In the NGO, I also focused on providing content for events and programs. This involved writing
engaging and informative content that highlighted the significance and objectives of each event
or program. By creating attention-grabbing content, I aimed to raise awareness and attract a
larger audience to these initiatives. Additionally, I was responsible for designing digital posters to
promote the events and programs. These posters were visually appealing and conveyed key
information about the event, such as the time, location, and purpose. The aim was to capture the
attention of the target audience and encourage their participation. Furthermore, I organized a
clothes donation drive, which aimed to collect clothing items from individuals or organizations
willing to contribute. This involved spreading awareness about the drive, collecting the donated
clothes, sorting and organizing them, and ensuring proper distribution to the intended
beneficiaries. The goal was to help those in need by providing them with essential clothing
items.Besides these activities, I also engaged in other similar initiatives and assisted in various
projects carried out by the NGO. This involved creating social media content to promote the
organization's work, participating in community outreach programs like visiting old-age homes
and orphanages, to maximize the impact of the NGO's activities.
METHODOLOGY
The methodology of the work as part of an NGO involved several steps and processes for each
activity :
Identifying the need: The NGO would first identify the specific needs of the target group, such as
slum children, old age homes, or orphanages. This was done to ensure we cater to the needs of
the target groups.
Planning: Once the needs were identified, a detailed plan was created for each activity. This
included timelines, resource allocation, and goal setting. It also involved deciding how to educate
slum children, what kind of content to write for events, designing digital posters, organizing
drives like clothes donation and visits to old age homes and orphanages.
Mobilizing resources: The NGO would gather necessary resources to carry out the work. This
could include volunteers, materials for education programs, writing tools for content creation,
graphic design software for digital posters, and collecting clothes for the donation drive.
Implementation: The NGO would then execute the planned activities. Educating slum children
involved a temporary classroom, conducting regular classes, and providing educational
materials. Content writing would involve researching and creating engaging and informative
descriptions and captions. Making digital posters would require designing visually appealing
graphics and spreading them through social media platforms. Clothes donation drives would
entail organizing collection points, sorting and distributing the donated items. Visiting old age
homes and orphanages would involve coordinating schedules and interacting with the residents.
Documentation and reporting: The NGO would maintain records of their work, including
photographs, videos, testimonials, and any other relevant data. Regular reports would be
generated to showcase the achievements, challenges faced, and lessons learned during the
process.

growth. This reflection can help us define future career goals, understand the challenges and
rewards of working in the social work field, and develop a sense of social responsibility.
