Opening Ceremony
Joining time:
All participants have to log into the Zoom meeting (details in Guide to
Zoom) at 6:45 pm on 11th August.
Keynote Address:
Our Keynote speaker, Dr. Vikash Mansinghka will be delivering a
keynote address which will be followed by a Questions and Answers
Round. He is a Principal Research Scientist at MIT, where he leads the
Probabilistic Computing Project. Vikash holds PhD MIT. You are
requested to direct the questions to the #keynote-speakers-questions
channel on the C.O.D.E. Hack Discord Server (High School) and zoom
chat.
Main Event Theme Release
Middle School:
All middle school participants will be allocated to a breakout
room, where they will be told the theme for their event and
any questions regarding the same will be addressed.
Participants may leave the meeting or stay after getting their
doubts cleared. You are requested to keep your Whatsapp
active in case of any announcements.
High School:
All High school participants are to remain in the main meeting
where the main event themes will be revealed. After all the
participants have been assigned their breakout rooms, you
may call for help. All individual participants will be allocated
one common breakout room and each team will be allocated
to a unique breakout room, after which you may start working
on your project. If a participant is not participating in the main
event, they can leave the meeting and join back 10 minutes
before their event.
Side Events:
If you are participating in a side event, you are requested to join the
main meeting at least 10 minutes before your respective side event. We
will be briefing all participants about the rules and all questions will be
addressed. After the end of each side event, participants will be free to
work on the main event.
GitHub Workshop:
There is an optional GitHub workshop on 12th August from 9:00
pm to 9:45 pm where participants will be taught how to upload
their projects for the Innovation Challenge to GitHub for
submission. This workshop is only for high school students.
Preliminary Pitches:
Middle School:
Preliminary middle School judging will take place from 10:00
am onwards on 13th August.
High School:
The preliminary high school pitches will take place from 10:00
am onwards on 13th August.
Final Pitches:
Middle School:
The final middle School pitches will take place from 1:30 pm
onwards on 13th August.
High School:
The final high school pitches will take place from 1:30 pm
onwards on 13th August.
Closing Ceremony:
The winners of all events from both High School and Middle School will
be announced.

Please note Whatsapp Communities are meant only for middle school
students and their parents.
We expect all participants to strictly obey the rules given below:
All participants will be addressed with their participant ID.
In order to ensure transparency, participants are requested to not
use their name or school name at any point of time. They are
requested to use their participant IDs in all forms of communication.
Be respectful. Any type of harassment, racism, sexism, or profanity
will not be tolerated. No self-promotion and spamming.
Any kind of advertisements (for other communities or streams) and
server invites are unacceptable.
No walls of text (write either in separate posts or as a single post).
No NSFW or inappropriate content. The organisers and the staff
members reserve the right to delete a message of a participant
without asking for permission or giving reasoning.
Messaging fellow participants or asking for answers/help via DMs is
strictly prohibited. Anyone found doing so will be disqualified
immediately.
Do not put offensive nicknames.
No publishing of personal information of yourself or other
participants (including real names, addresses, and emails).
If you encounter something against the rules or something that
makes you feel uncomfortable, please reach out to us! Disregarding
any of the rules may lead to instant disqualification of the participant
or the team as a whole from the competition.

MIDDLE SCHOOL
GUIDELINES FOR EVENTS
Bit Builders
Instructions:
The event will run over two days.
The theme will be announced in the opening ceremony.
The participants will be given the liberty to create any kind
of media they want on that topic.
They will have to submit their project via the Google Drive
link that will be provided.
Judging Criteria:
Creativity and presentation (50%)
Relevance to the theme (30%)
Originality and Quality - information presented, ideas well
presented, effective use of colours, graphics, and fonts
(20%)

Mini Man Gogh
Instructions:
Participants are free to create their posters on any digital
platform of their choice or make it by hand.
The posters created must be relevant to the given theme,
or they will not be marked.
The finished posters should be submitted to us via the
Google Drive link provided later on.

Uniqueness and Originality (25%)
Aesthetic Quality - storyline, character design, composition,
colours, and tones (50%)
Concept - how does it co-relate to the theme? (25%)

DoodleCraft
Instructions:
The theme for the event will be disclosed at the start.
Participants can make digital Google doodles based on the
theme that has been provided.
The doodles should be submitted via the Google Drive link
that will be provided later on.
Judging Criteria:

Aesthetic Quality - storyline, character design, composition,
colours, tones (50%)
Concept - how does it co-relate to the theme? (25%)
2. A team may submit only one entry in any one of the three categories, which will
be released on the day of the event. This is applicable for only high school students.
4. The eligibility of a participant is tied to the eligibility of the team. If one member
of a team is disqualified or found to be ineligible, the team as a whole may be
disqualified.
6. Teams must stop hacking once the time is up. Teams can use libraries,
frameworks, or open-source code in their projects.
8. The participants hereby agree and acknowledge that any photos, videos, and/or
recordings taken during the Hackathon can be used by Strawberry Fields High
School for any educational purposes including but not limited to any social media
sites or platforms.
9. Entries must be suitable for publication and viewing by general audiences and
must not include, describe or contain any harmful, illegal or unlawful activity or any
content that is false, fraudulent, deceptive, misleading, defamatory, libelous
(including trade libel), disparaging, harassing, threatening, profane, obscene,
pornographic, hateful, indecent, inappropriate, or injurious to any party.
10. The cash prize will be credited to the winning team participant’s bank account
only. It is the responsibility of the participant to provide correct details for on-time
disbursement.
11. Undeliverable Prize - If the Prize is returned to the Promoter or undeliverable for
whatever reason, the organizer may, at its sole discretion, re-deliver, re-distribute, or
retain the returned Prize.
12. After the end of the Hackathon, contract source code of each solution must be
open sourced and published at Github.
13. SFHS also reserves the right to cancel the event at any time whereupon
participants shall obtain a full refund of any fees possibly paid hereunder.
14. Sponsors, judges, mentors, volunteers, organizers, and anyone else at the event
are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, attendees should not
use sexualized images, activities, or other material both in their hacks and during
the event.
15. SFHS will determine participation eligibility, declare winners (including but not
limited to in the event of a tie), and award prizes in its sole and absolute discretion.
You agree that such decisions are final and are not subject to review or
reconsideration.
16. The Organizers determines the Hackathon agenda and has the right to amend it
also on the day on which the Hackathon is held, including the right to change the
schedule, remove an event from the schedule, change the sequence of speeches,
and the speakers. The Organizers shall inform the participants about each change
on the website.
17. Protection of personal data: The participant allows the Organizer processing of
personal data provided at registration and/or subsequently at Hackathon. The
collection and processing of personal data relating to the participant by the
Organizers are primarily intended to ensure that the Hackathon will be properly
completed.
