1 Installation Preparations
CAUTION
Application Environment
To ensure good ventilation and heat dissipation around the modules, the
application environment of the modules must meet the following requirements:
● Do not install the modules in an enclosed indoor or outdoor cabinet without a
cooling system.
● Do not install the modules in an enclosed camouflage box.
● Do not install the modules in a simple equipment room that is completely
enclosed and does not have a cooling system.
● When multiple modules are installed together, the minimum clearance
requirements must be met.
● Mounting kits cannot be used in indoor scenarios.
CAUTION
Installation Mode
● The specifications of the installation support described in this document only
define the exterior and dimensions of the mounting kits. Before installing a
module, determine the strength and reliability of the installation support
based on the weight of the module.
● To facilitate heat dissipation and prevent water from entering the ports at the
bottom of a module, keep a correct installation direction and ensure that the
angle between the module and a line vertical to the ground is within 10
degrees.
● On a tower, a module can be installed on a pole, channel steel, or angle steel.
It is recommended that multiple modules be side-mounted on the main pole
of a tower. If the horizontal distance between the main and auxiliary poles on
a tower is greater than or equal to 810 mm, side-mounting is recommended
for installing modules on the auxiliary pole to meet the minimum clearance
requirements. If the horizontal distance is less than 810 mm, flush-mounting
is recommended.
Personnel Requirements
Installation personnel must be qualified and trained, and familiar with correct
operation methods and safety precautions.

4 Preparing Cables
CAUTION
NOTE
● The requirements for cable colors and appearances vary depending on countries and
areas. Cables purchased at local markets must comply with local rules and regulations.
● Load cables and AC input power cables for PSUs need to be prepared onsite. Battery
cables (including terminals) between PSUs and lithium batteries are delivered with
products.
● Before connecting waterproof connectors to cables, ensure that the connections
between the cables and terminals are secure and reliable.
5 Installing Cables
NOTE
The following uses a 20 Ah/50 Ah lithium battery as an example to describe how to install
cables. The installation method is the same for a 100 Ah lithium battery.
Figure 5-1 Installing ground cables (one PSU and one 20 Ah/50 Ah lithium
battery)
CAUTION
● Ensure that the upstream AC input circuit breakers are OFF, and attach warning
labels such as "Do not operate."
● Ensure that plugs and waterproof connectors are installed at all idle ports on
the modules.
● Ensure that cables are securely connected to terminals.

NOTE
● The PSU communicates with the NetEco by connecting to the RRU or BBU.
● If a BBU or RRU3xxx is deployed, monitoring alarms are preferentially reported over
RS485 ports (monitoring cable: 5 m).
When the NetEco is used and multiple PSUs are connected in parallel, only one PSU can be
connected to the MON0 or MON1 port on the BBU.
Connect the cable with label 1 to the EXT_ALM port on the RRU and that with label 2 to
the COM_ALM port on the PSU.
Context
If a wireless backhaul module is required, perform the following steps to install it.
Procedure
Step 1 Install the SIM card of the wireless backhaul module.
CAUTION
● If you hear two clicks when installing a wireless backhaul module, the module
is properly installed. If the module is not properly installed, water may enter it.
● If the SIM card needs to be replaced, replace the SIM card and assemble the
wireless backhaul module on the ground. Then install the backhaul module on
the PDU.
Step 2 Remove the screw cap and nut from the installation position of the wireless
backhaul module. Reserve the nut for future use.
Step 3 Install the waterproof cover, washer, nut, and backhaul module on the USB port in
sequence.
CAUTION
● If the protective cover is not installed, water may enter the port of the wireless
backhaul module.
● Ensure that the flat edges of the washer, waterproof cover, and USB terminal
are aligned.

Prerequisites
The devices and cables have been installed.
Context
NOTICE
The device must be powered on within 24 hours after being unpacked. During
maintenance, the power-off time cannot exceed 24 hours.
NOTE
When the device is running properly, the RUN indicator is steady on or blinking and the
ALM indicator is off.
Procedure
Step 1 Switch on the upstream AC input circuit breaker and measure the voltage of the
circuit breaker. The value should range from 85 V AC to 290 V AC (three-phase or
single-phase) based on the actual power supply.
Step 2 Check the PSU and lithium battery indicators. Ensure that the green indicator is
blinking slowly and that the red indicator is off.
Step 3 Use a multimeter to measure the DC output voltage of each load port. The value
should range from –42 V DC to –58 V DC. Note that the probe of the multimeter
must be insulated.
Step 4 Observe the power system for about 15 minutes. If no alarm indicator is on, the
system is running properly.

This section describes the precautions and procedure for hoisting a 100 Ah lithium
battery onto a tower. The actual operations may vary. A lithium battery can be
installed on a pole, channel steel, or angle steel after being hoisted onto a tower.
Context
● If the tower or main pole is higher than 2 m and it is difficult for installation
personnel to carry a 100 Ah lithium battery onto the pole, lifting tools such as
a winch and pulley are recommended. Perform the following steps to install
the lithium battery.
– Use a winch to hoist a module onto a tower pole. Three persons are
required for module installation.
– Use a pulley to hoist a module onto a tower or rooftop pole. Four or five
persons are required for module installation.
Procedure
Step 1 Installation personnel A brings the 18 L pole mounting kit and hoisting tool to the
tower. Then, installation personnel A secures the fixed pulley to the support on the
tower platform, route the lifting sling through the pulley, and throws the two ends
of the sling to the bottom of the pole.
Step 2 Installation personnel A installs the 18 L pole mounting kit. For details, see 2
System Installation (Flush Mounting Scenario) or 3 System Installation (Side
Mounting Scenario) based on the actual application scenario.
Step 3 After installing the pole mounting kit, installation personnel B places foam pads or
paper sheets on the ground and places the lithium battery on them.
NOTICE
Do not stand a 100 Ah lithium battery upright on the ground because the
terminals at the bottom cannot support the weight of the lithium battery.
Step 4 After the pole mounting kit is installed, installation personnel B uses the lifting
sling to bind the upper handle of the 100 Ah lithium battery, ties a tight knot,
then uses the traction sling to bind the traction ring of the lithium battery and ties
a tight knot. Do not lift the lithium battery only by lifting the upper handle or
traction ring.
(1) Lifting sling (2) Upper handle (3) Traction ring (4) Traction sling
Step 5 When lifting the 100 Ah lithium battery, ensure that the terminals at the bottom
are not bumped.
(1) Terminals at the bottom of the (2) Foam pads or paper sheets

NOTICE
● The load-bearing capacity of the lifting sling and traction sling must be greater
than 200 kg and the sling diameter must be less than 25 mm.
● When hoisting a module onto a tower, protect it from colliding with the tower.
● Do not hoist a lithium battery mounted on a pole, angle steel, or channel steel
onto a tower.
● Do not use the traction eye to lift other objects.
Step 7 Installation personnel A catches the lithium battery hoisted onto the tower.
Step 8 Installation personnel A installs the lithium battery on the pole. For details, see 2
System Installation (Flush Mounting Scenario) or 3 System Installation (Side
Mounting Scenario).
Step 9 When the cramp ring on the lifting sling is close to the fixed pulley, installation
personnel A gently holds the lithium battery and installs it onto the 18 L pole
mounting kit with the conversion bracket at the rear. Remove the lifting sling and
traction sling.

B Preparing Terminals
Preparing an OT Terminal
C Adding DC Loads
Context
If a site is configured with a four-way connector, you can perform the following
steps to add DC loads.
Procedure
Step 1 Connect DC loads to the four-way connector.
Step 2 Connect the four-way connector to the PSU.
NOTE
● Restricted by the load fuse of the PSU, the total DC load connected to the four-way
connector (04152542) cannot exceed the power that one load fuse can withstand.
● The DC output power cable connected to the four-way connector (04152542) must
meet the following requirements: 2.5–6 mm2 conductor and 11–15 mm cable outer
diameter.
