DPS Blade Distributed Power System (DPU90D,
DPU120D)
Installation Guide 1 Installation Preparations

1 Installation Preparations

1.1 Installation Precautions

CAUTION

● Wear gloves during installation.

● When moving a module with one hand, ensure that the bottom of the
connectors does not contact or hit the ground or staircase. When moving a
module with two hands, hold both the handle and traction ring.
● Do not install a module with power on. Ensure that the angle between a
module and the line vertical to the ground is within 10 degrees.
● Do not assemble a lithium battery with a remote radio unit (RRU).
● In high-temperature areas (where the highest ambient temperature exceeds
45°C), lithium batteries cannot be combined with power supply units (PSUs).
● Ensure that the paint on the module exterior is intact. If paint has flaked off,
repaint the area to avoid corrosion.
● When securing mounting kits on a large pole, ensure that the hoops are closely
attached to the pole and there is no foreign matter between the hoops and the
pole.
● When a PSU is assembled with a lithium battery, ensure that the front panel of
the PSU is in the same direction as that of the lithium battery, and all module
handles are at the same side.
● The device must be powered on within 24 hours after being unpacked. During
maintenance, the power-off time cannot exceed 24 hours.
● If a lithium battery sunshade is configured, install the sunshade on the outer
side of the lithium battery after the PSU and lithium battery are installed.
● This device (or system) must be installed or used in a restricted area and
accessible only to service personnel.

DPU120D)
Installation Guide 1 Installation Preparations

Application Environment
To ensure good ventilation and heat dissipation around the modules, the
application environment of the modules must meet the following requirements:
● Do not install the modules in an enclosed indoor or outdoor cabinet without a
cooling system.
● Do not install the modules in an enclosed camouflage box.
● Do not install the modules in a simple equipment room that is completely
enclosed and does not have a cooling system.
● When multiple modules are installed together, the minimum clearance
requirements must be met.
● Mounting kits cannot be used in indoor scenarios.

CAUTION

An improper application environment reduces the heat dissipation efficiency and

may cause the modules to fail to work properly.

Figure 1-1 Improper application environment

Installation Mode
● The specifications of the installation support described in this document only
define the exterior and dimensions of the mounting kits. Before installing a
module, determine the strength and reliability of the installation support
based on the weight of the module.
● To facilitate heat dissipation and prevent water from entering the ports at the
bottom of a module, keep a correct installation direction and ensure that the
angle between the module and a line vertical to the ground is within 10
degrees.
● On a tower, a module can be installed on a pole, channel steel, or angle steel.
It is recommended that multiple modules be side-mounted on the main pole
of a tower. If the horizontal distance between the main and auxiliary poles on
a tower is greater than or equal to 810 mm, side-mounting is recommended
for installing modules on the auxiliary pole to meet the minimum clearance
requirements. If the horizontal distance is less than 810 mm, flush-mounting
is recommended.

operation methods and safety precautions.

When organizing installation personnel, ensure that:

● Customers' installation personnel must be trained by the Company and

understand the installation and operation.
● The number of installation personnel varies based on the project progress and
installation environment. Typically, two to four persons are required.

DPS Blade Distributed Power System (DPU90D,
DPU120D)
Installation Guide A Hoisting a 100 Ah Lithium Battery

A Hoisting a 100 Ah Lithium Battery

This section describes the precautions and procedure for hoisting a 100 Ah lithium
battery onto a tower. The actual operations may vary. A lithium battery can be
installed on a pole, channel steel, or angle steel after being hoisted onto a tower.

Context
● If the tower or main pole is higher than 2 m and it is difficult for installation
personnel to carry a 100 Ah lithium battery onto the pole, lifting tools such as
a winch and pulley are recommended. Perform the following steps to install
the lithium battery.
– Use a winch to hoist a module onto a tower pole. Three persons are
required for module installation.
– Use a pulley to hoist a module onto a tower or rooftop pole. Four or five
persons are required for module installation.

Procedure
Step 1 Installation personnel A brings the 18 L pole mounting kit and hoisting tool to the
tower. Then, installation personnel A secures the fixed pulley to the support on the
tower platform, route the lifting sling through the pulley, and throws the two ends
of the sling to the bottom of the pole.

Step 2 Installation personnel A installs the 18 L pole mounting kit. For details, see 2
System Installation (Flush Mounting Scenario) or 3 System Installation (Side
Mounting Scenario) based on the actual application scenario.

Step 3 After installing the pole mounting kit, installation personnel B places foam pads or
paper sheets on the ground and places the lithium battery on them.

NOTICE

Do not stand a 100 Ah lithium battery upright on the ground because the
