1. What is your favorite Bombay Sweets product and why?

Ans- Bombay Sweets Company was established in 1948 and It is a leader in consumer foods
for many decades, both in Bangladesh and abroad. Bombay Sweets served its customer from
its own outlets and the company has over 200 hundred distributors spread across the country.
Bombay Sweets have different kinds of products like chips, confectionary, sweets, ethnic,
snacks, and beverages.

In its potato chips category, Bombay Sweets have Alooz, Potato Crackers, Cheese Ball, Mr.
Twist, Bombay sticks, Ring chips, and Potato Sticks. Among them Ring chips is my favorite.
Ring chips is the first ever crispy introduced in Bangladesh by Bombay Sweets in 1986. This
particular product was greeted with immense success. It gained a massive amount of
consumers and slowly started to spread in almost every corner of Bangladesh. Still, now Ring
chips doing good in the market. The shops have ring hips on display and the number of
consumers has also been rising optimistically. The flag–bearer of ring chips is now destined
to create an emotional and a “taste–bud” connection with the customers. Ring Chips has a
very diverse target market. Its consumer base covers almost every city in Bangladesh and it
can also be found in some remote villagers as well. The market has different age groups in it
and the triggers that make one target market buy it varies from the other. From the earliest to
the latest products, this company changes its flavors according to market demands and
trends. Not only children but also adults are also like the chips of this company Prices are
convenient for all classes of people. Their distribution strategy is very strong and clear. Over
the decades, they are advertising their products. Most of the Ads are Chips related.

2. Name 2 new innovative products that Bombay Sweets can bring to the market. Why do
you think these products will work?

Ans- Initially Bombay Sweets served its customers from its own outlets, presently the
company has over 200 distributors spread across the country. In the new millennium,
Bombay Sweets has strived to continually introduce quality innovative products and
packaging needed to satisfy ever-changing appetites and tastes.

Two innovative products that Bombay Sweets can bring into the market are given below-
➢ One time cupcake
➢ Double-layer cream biscuits

Bombay Sweets Company should introduce new product lines like bakery items in the market.

❖ Situation Analysis – Bombay Sweets new innovative products line will be received strong
demand from initial contacts with end users and distributors marketing will be critical to
generate significant demand for the products.
➢ Geographic- for the urban, suburban, and rural areas citizen of all over the country.
Especially for the convenient transportation areas.
➢ Demographic- Children generally under teenage

The young generation is generally under the age range of 13-25. Educated people and conscious
parents.

➢ Psychographic- The lower middle class, middle class, and upper class.
➢ Strength- High-quality product that undercuts the competitor's prices.
➢ Bombay Sweets has a great company reputation.
➢ Customer loyalty to the company.
➢ Use of modern technology.
➢ Use of local/domestic ingredients.
➢ The product has a “brand personality”.
➢ Opportunities- There is demand for this kind of product.
➢ Develop advertising on TV, radio, newspapers, and billboards.
➢ Develop, expand, and utilize the Facebook page.
➢ The company has a known image in the market.
➢ Develop the healthy aspects of the products.

From launching a product in the market there is some procedure that should be followed by
every organization to move in the long run. Bombay Sweets has many opportunities to develop a
strong presence within the marketplace in Bangladesh. I think these two products will satisfy the
needs of customers by keeping sufficient inventory.
