The animal that better benefits my physical and mental health is a dog. Every dog I have
owned has always been happy to see me, super energetic, and a good listener. Dogs are known to
have a more active lifestyle, which is better for people's immune health. Compared to cats, dogs
are also more trainable. Whatever command you can think of, teaching your dog that command
is way easier than introducing it to a cat. Overall, when choosing a pet, make sure to take into

The best pet to own is a dog. The first reason why dogs are better is because you can do

Segal, Paragraph 18). Now I’m sure you can teach cats to do some things, but you can’t really
teach them all the different tricks that you can teach dogs. Lastly but certainly not least is that
dogs are more loveable than cats. The article states,”Companion dogs provide a source of
friendship and company, soothing the physical and mental strain of loneliness.” ( Segal,
Paragraph 34). Cats do provide companionship, but in my experience dogs are a lot more
After reading the article about cats, my opinion did change on them. In the article “The
Joys of Owning a Cat,” it brought up a point about how cats have the ability to calm your
nervous system. I found this interesting because I didn’t realize how cats had that type of effect
on that system.
The benefits of correlation research is not changing any variable in the research. This is
beneficial because it can collect more data. Also most correlational studies are usually taken
outside the lab. Now as for experimental research, it changes factors in the research to study the
cause and effect relationship. I would prefer the experimental, because you can manipulate the
factors and look for different outcomes. This is good because it gives you more control than
