I. INTRODUCTION
The policy describes the procedures to be followed when an employee is eligible for a petro card facility
of the Company. Petro-Bonus is a unique program offering you the convenience and security of paying
for your fuel through an electronic card.
Schindler India has tied up with BPCL (Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited) to provide the petrol
benefit to employees.

II. PROCEDURES
1. Objective
1.1 To elucidate the eligibilities, procedures and guidelines governing petro card related benefits for
employees.

2. Eligibility
2.1 The policy is applicable for all employees who are on the permanent roll of the company as listed in
Annexure I.

3. Petro-Card Application process


3.1 Employee has to fill Vehicle lease form (Annexure II) and attach mandatory documents i.e. Driving
license, RC book, Loan document & Insurance with approval from Reporting Manager. (If the vehicle
is under lease the employee has to submit loan statement).

4. Usage of Petro card


4.1 Employees are entitled to use petro card for official local conveyance only and is not meant for
Personal use. Based on job role and designation an amount is prefilled on the assigned petro card.
See Annexure I.
4.2 One shall receive the petro card in approx. 30 days after submitting the vehicle lease form
4.3 You may reset the password at the nearest BPCL Petrol pump once you receive the petro card.
4.4 In case the card is blocked, damage or lost, employee needs to send an email about loss of card and
apply for re-issue of card to HR department (Ms. Deepti Nair email id - [email protected]).
4.5 Petrol reimbursement is a benefit to meet one’s monthly travel expenses thus the balance cannot be
forwarded to next month and instead its transferred back to the company’s account.
4.6 Petro card is not transferable and thus needs to be used by employee only.
4.7 In case of separation or your services are terminated by the company the petro card benefit will be
withdrawn.
4.8 Any misuse of petro card should be considered as COC Violation.
4.9 If the petrol limit in the card gets exhausted no claims can be made through MER.

*The petrol rates are standardized (pre-defined) State & Location wise considering the current petrol rate
