EDC - Lab - 01 - Fall 2023

This document is a laboratory manual for an electronics course containing instructions for two experiments using Proteus simulation software. The first experiment involves constructing a circuit with diodes and measuring the output waveform. The second experiment varies the input voltage to a circuit with a diode and records the voltage and current values using meters. The document provides circuit diagrams, procedures, introduction sections and tables of simulated results for each experiment.

LAB: Familiarization to Proteus and Lab Equpiment

TASK # 1:

INTRODUCTION:

Performing task 1 of lab manual 1, in which we have to design the following circuit on proteus:

PROCEDURE:

1. To begin, I developed a circuit simulation.

2. This circuit incorporates four diodes, an AC voltage source, and an oscilloscope for waveform
analysis.
3. Once the circuit was constructed, I adjusted the AC source's amplitude to 12V and its frequency to
50Hz.
4. Employing this setup resulted in the generation of the following waveform.

TASK # 2:

INTRODUCTION:

We are constructing a circuit as shown below, on proteus and simulate. We will vary the input voltage
Vin according the values given in the table and by using ampere meter and volt meter record the
values of Id and Vd.

PROCEDURE:

The primary objective within this circuit was the determination of voltage and current values.

2. Initially, I formulated a circuit simulation.

3. The circuit configuration encompassed a DC voltage source, a diode, a DC voltmeter, a DC

ammeter, and a 1k-ohm resistor.

4. To achieve this, the voltmeter was connected in parallel to exploit uniform voltage across parallel
elements, while the ammeter was situated in series to capitalize on consistent current flow within the
series arrangement.
