Understanding Straight Cables
Straight cables are the most common type of cable used to connect devices in a local
network (LAN) or connect devices to other devices such as computers to switches,
computers to routers, or computers to modems.
Straight Cable Function
Straight cables are used to connect 2 different devices. An example of using a straight cable
is as follows: Connecting a computer to a switch.
LAN
LAN or local area network or local area network is a computer network that connects
computers in a limited area such as a residence, school, laboratory, university campus, or
office
Benefit and Lack
The advantage of a straight network is that it is influenced by transmission cables or
network transfers which can connect different devices. Straight networks are influenced by
the transmission media they have.
The transmission medium that affects straight networks is cable. Straight cables affect
transmission speed or network switching. A straight network can run well due to the
influence of the transmission or transfer media or container. Straight networks are usually
used to connect routers with a LAN, connect hubs with routers, connect switches with
routers, connect a computer with a switch, and connect a computer with a LAN on a modem
or DSL.

Steps atau Langkah How to Make a Straight Cable for LAN

How to make a straight cable

1. Open the cable skin with a cutter by one knuckle

2. Trim the cable until it forms a single strand

3. Arrange the cables in the specified arrangement:

Orange white

Orange

White green

Blue

White blue

Green

White brown

Chocolate

4. Tidy up the cables that have been arranged in the correct order. Make sure
the ends of the cables are the same length

5. Insert the cable that has been arranged neatly into the Rj45 connector

6. The arrangement is seen from left to right

7. Make sure the copper cable is visible at the end of the rj45 connector

8. Use crimping then lock until it says "track"

9. Do all the steps on the other side of the cable
