Instructions for updating your email signature in Outlook

Please follow these instructions rather than copying and pasting from another signature, which will break the template. If you have any questions or require
additional assistance, please contact [email protected]. Please note that email signatures may only be updated correctly using Outlook and not Webmail via
Office 365.

1. First of all, insert your details into the signature template below – including name, programme of study and email address. Ensure that font for the top
line is size 10 TheSansArabic ExtraLight and bold. For the information below this text needs to be size 8.5 TheSansArabic ExtraLight. Do not shift the
logo or edit any other details in the text – the logo has been set to shift along automatically as you type.

So it appears something like this…

2. Please ensure that all text, including the email address link and URLs is in black.

3. Once your signature has been generated in Word, open Outlook. Select New Email, and click on the signatures button along the top of the window.

4. Select New, give your new signature a name and copy and paste the whole of the new signature (including the black line above it because this forms
part of the signature) that you’ve generated above from Word directly into this box. When pasting please ensure that you select the Keep Source
Formatting (K) option to capture all of the content, and make sure that all text colour and details are correct. The signature may appear differently
formatted when pasted into the box – please don’t try and change anything because this doesn’t matter!

5. In the top right of the box named Choose Default Signature, select
where you would like this signature to appear by ensuring that the signature name appears under New Messages. If you wish to include your email
signature as a default for replies, you may select your new email signature for this as well.
6. Select OK and exit the message box. To view your new signature, click New Email again and your signature should show up in the new message just as
you’ve set up above.
